Received this e-mail today. First I heard of this. Any thoughts?


A prominent Democrat, Philip J. Berg, has filed a federal lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee and Barack Obama aka Barry Soetoro aka
Barry Obama aka Barack Dunham aka Barry Dunham alleging that Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen - which is a constitutional requirement to be President of the United States. Berg has strong Democratic credentials: he is the former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, and a former member of the Democratic State Committee.

Berg alleges Obama was born in Kenya and demands that the Obama campaign produce the vault copy of his birth certificate. Obama refuses EVEN THOUGH
BERG SAYS HE WILL DROP THE LAWSUIT IF HE DOES! Instead, the DNC and the Obama campaign are spending an exorbitant sum of money to
fight this lawsuit. If the DNC and Obama have nothing to hide, that makes no sense because the lawsuit can be ended with virtually no cost by producing a bona
fide legal document that Obama claims to have.

Berg further believes that even if Obama was born in Hawaii as claimed, there are still legal issues related to Obama and his foreign citizenship that disqualify him from serving as the President of the
United States.

If this was a Republican doing this I would pass it off as nothing. The fact that this is a Democrat does make it interesting.

Also, Barack Obama produced a copy of his birth certificate a long time ago. The part about him refusing is bull

Nope, because there is no substance to it.

However, Berg actually did file the lawsuit, and if I am not mistaken he wasn't claiming that Obama wasn't a natural-born citizen he was only clamoring for transparency.

There is a difference between the copy that was released by Obama and the document they want shown in the lawsuit. Not sure what to make of it, someone else might be able to help.

From what I understand there is a belief by some that this document Obama made available is not the same format as a standard certificate, raising suspicions about it's authenticity. I'm not sure what to make of it.

It took me less than a minute to find two links on snopes refuting this.

The title of the thread suggests this is even a legitimate question, and now we have KB posting images of birth certificates. Give me a break.

OP clearly stated he got an Email about this and asked for thoughts. He never said it's true. he asked what everyone thought and implied nothing. Give me a break.

I agree, how can we drop it when even after it's refuted two more post question his citizenship? If this had been said about McCain we would be through 10 pages of posts already.

I wish I could find the article I was looking at last night. There is a side by side comparison to a Hawaiian birth certificate from the same time period out there, they match.

I'm just giving you an example of what this democrat is claiming to be false, I clearly stated I did not know what to make of it.

Chill out, just trying to make the situation clear!

yet in this forum, we have democrat posters questioning Palin's intelligence, latching onto falsehoods about her family, bogus book banning charges, etc.
