Is Butch Jones a candidate for any of the upcoming open coaching positions?

I think SDS mentioned him as a possibility for Purdue if that comes open as expected

We can only hope so.....:p

If he does get a head coaching job then the rest of whatever conference his is in will be celebrating.....

If he coaches again and UT plays his team. There should be a rule, if he beats UT the coaches should be fired. Remember Dooley beat him when he brought UC to Neyland. Hearing Brohm to Louisville and Butch on Purdue list with 5 other HC's.

Replace the coach responsible for a young man's death with a guy who possibly punched one of his players in the face? I think they will exercise caution here and avoid Lyle.

First, the posters calling Butch Jones goofy names sound like 5 year olds. If you want to discuss his coaching that’s fine but calling people goofy names is childish. Remember Tennessee hired a coach who had a record of 17-20. So to say no one will hire a coach with a 84-54 record who had two 9-4 seasons at his last head coaching job is silly. By the way I was all in to fire Butch but some of you take your hate a little far.

Not until he gets a ring from Alabama. Then he can drum his fingers in front of awe struck AD's. Then, after getting a HC job, wouldn't that ring look dazzling to uninformed recruits looking at his program.

after watching Bob Shoop's defensive team this season........you can only blame the losing culture and poor performance on Butch.....I doubt he works as a head football coach again

Wonder if he gets a call from Colorado, the program that was gonna hire him right before he came here.
