that the Big (L)East is getting embarrassed thus far? All year we have heard the talking heads based in Connecticut fluffing their backyard bosom buddies to the point of foreplay. Big 12 is looking like the strong conference this year. Just goes to show how the ESPNization of sports can fall flat on the face of actual truth instead of propaganda. They might need to start flashing "Fair and Balanced" on the screen at the end of the night.

That's hilarious, and just about correct!

99,03, and 04'. Still, not overly impressive when compared to titles by other conferences in the same time span.

Well, they're 2nd in titles in that time frame after the ACC's 4. Yeah not overly impressive but no other conference really is either since then.

ACC: Duke, Maryland, UNC twice
Big 12: Kansas
SEC: Florida twice
Big Ten: Michigan St
Pac 10: none

You can kind of compare this to ESPN hyping up Lebron James all year then him not getting to the finals. Then its everyone elses fault but his  Oh well they cant say that this year. Back to the topic the Big East was overrated. I think you even see it in the NIT. 3 out of the 4 teams were gone in the first game, and the Big East coaches were saying those 4 in the NIT should have been in the NCAA. With all that being said I think a Big East team still has a good chance to win it all. Syracuse or West Virginia.

How many teams have they had in the tourney over that time, compared to the Big 12, SEC, Big Ten, and Pac 10?

Since 1999. Didn't realize that was that difficult to figure out. Those "stats" are just the last 11 teams to have won titles in bball.

Who cares and what does it matter? I'm not gonna waste my time finding those numbers. I never said the Big East is the best conference or anything. I'm just saying winning 3 of the last 11 NCAA championships is respectable.

You all do realize that this is the same thing that all the other conferences say about the SEC during bowl season, right?
