it's a shame they don't play this year. They often do. ohio state has the stars, but honestly cinci is a cohesive, well coached team, that brings it every single week. I think it's a shame that ohio st. has nebraska down the stretch, because that's basically another bye.
The majority of really good teams will have an off or trap game. Cincinnati survived their's...Bama didn't. The Tide had no business losing to two loss A&M. The aggys are also looking at another possible two losses to Auburn and Ole Miss.Well then they don't bring it "every single week," do they?
I dont know about often. They have played 13 times in more than 100 years. Their only win was back in 1896. Yes, that's 1896.it's a shame they don't play this year. They often do. ohio state has the stars, but honestly cinci is a cohesive, well coached team, that brings it every single week. I didn't realize his fame and back before Finebaum was really famous and just on the radio around here, he'd get a plug from Cecil about every day. Those were good times, during the Mike years (Dubose, Shula, Price). Finebaum fun to listen to with Bama on the ropes. (and come on Bamawriter, you gotta relate to that.. sort of like hanging out here with us on the ropes.. am I right?)
So one day I emailed him. I said, "Hey Cecil - do you remember me over there at Westlawn jr.high?" and he emailed back and said "Sure do, and your brother too!" and of course there was a couple of other warm accolades back and forth for a while. I never knew Ol' Cecil had entrenched himself so well as the Bama beat reporter. I always liked him, but understand, he's not 12 anymore like he was in the hood.
