It was bad to begin with. He has been all over the map, contradicting himself, Trump, Sanders, etc. Sometimes he comes back and contradicts the contradiction. Today he set an all time low.

I think everyone in the country had tremendous respect for him after 9/11. I know I did. But he has become a punch line to a very bad joke at this point. And I really do not think he is helping Trump, at all. He's making it worse. The only thing I can think of is that he is intoxicated or he has had a stroke. It just seems impossible that anyone as seasoned as he once was could possibly do this, not just once, but over and over and over and over again.

Good question. I'll give you that one LG. He does seem a bit off to me. Maybe he is creating confusion by being confused.:)

Giulani has done significantly more harm to Trump's rep than good.

Hopefully he's a more competent lawyer than spokesperson.

Maybe he's just getting old

A billionaire and the President and he selects 2 incompetent clowns like Cohen and Giuliani.
And now looks like his other lawyer is turning on him. "The best people".

What did he ever do, really, to be so respected after 911?

He took care of the city. He was a steadfast leader in a time of crisis. He went to funerals of those that perished every day for about 3 months. He earned my respect. He did a helluva lot more for that city and state than a certain senator ever did.

Damn, you beat me to it.

In all seriousness, as I pointed out a few days ago in my trump tweet thread, the key criteria for keeping a job with trump is "saying nice things" and falling in line... be damned any smart man with a differing opinion. Democracy at its finest.

Sounds legit, I honestly couldn't remember.

I honestly think he could’ve possibly won the Presidency in 2008 or 2012, but I really think he tanked it on purpose to not get the nomination for whatever reasons he may have. He did a horrible job campaigning and really didn’t seem to care. At least that’s how I recall it. I’m sure others will see it differently .

I agree that he was all that. This is why I think something is off about him, now.

It's really a shame with Guiliani as I believe he's tarnishing his legacy. He was one of the most popular guys in America after 9/11, a calming grand-fatherly type influence for a shaken city and nation.

Now he comes off as a circus side-show act. Eyes bulging, arms flailing, obfusicating and double-talking, contracting himself and others, and generally speaking, coming across as incompetent.

He said that Donald Trump Jr. and Paul Manafort were unaware that they were meeting with people affiliated with the Russian government at the Trump Tower meeting on June 9, 2016 . Trump Jr.'s e-mails with Rob Goldstone show that is a lie.

I as well had a lot of respect for Giuliani after 911 and I have no idea why on earth he'd associate himself with Trump at this point. Maybe Giuliani is undermining him under the guise of "defending him". The good news in all of this is that if Mueller didn't have anything on Trump he would have ended his investigation a long time ago.
