Is Hoover A Pitcher's Or Hitter's Park?

Designed for AAA baseball team, Hoover Met is definitely a pitcher's park. However, the shifting winds & the pine trees in center/right fields can make things interesting. Not many cheap home runs in that stadium. It's actually a terrific venue.

It depends on who is hitting and who is pitching. However, I think very good pitching beasts very good hitting. After all, if a hitter is successful only one third of the time, he/she is considered a very good hitter.

Arkansas and Vandy cranks homers Tennessee gives up homers more than avg
Great Venue for the way Tennessee plays will help our pitching. Need to minimize errors and need pavolony to heal. But don’t discount State - very good team just a very slow start or they would have won the league.

YES it is!!! It just depends on the team or teams playing. If they have great pitchers, then it's a pitchers park. If the teams have geat hitters then,, well you get the point. The altitude is not high enough to help make it a hitters park. Nor is there any prevailing winds to make it a pitcher's or hitter's park.

Actually if you look at the in conference statistics, you will see that Tennessee’s offense leads Vanderbilt and Arkansas in HR.

Also if you look at HR given up in conference you will see that Arkansas is 3rd most, TN 10th, Vanderbilt 12th.

It’s a good venue but they could do so much more with the outfield

Has a very 90’s feel to it. Need to add more mixed use seating/bars/etc to keep up with the times
