...does anyone else find it amazing how much control CBJ has over this program?

I mean there has been more media coverage on this team this year than I can remember in several years and somehow I feel like I have no clue what is going on with this team.

I watch all the practice videos, listen to all the interviews and read all the practice reports, but I would not be able to give a solid answer on the depth chart right now. Well, other than Hurd being the starting TE. :birgits_giggle:

There is no doubt in my mind that Butch runs a tight ship and his leadership is going to bring big things to Knoxville.

All I really know is I can't wait for August 31st to get here.

GBO!!

I feel the same way. It doesn't help that the different media members seem to contradict each other on a regular basis.

I have noticed that the off the field issues are nil this year. Keep it up coach you have the team headed in the right direction.

The direction that Butch has pointed the Tennessee program is awesome. We have VFL's from the 1960's coming back to view practice. Dooley wouldn't even let most of the guys on campus without signing something. The future is bright for Tennessee football just got to let a lot of talented players grow up.

Butch cares and he wants to be here. That's more than what can be said for the two previous individuals that wore the name "coach" on their job title

I like how Butch does everything with a specific purpose. His players know exactly what he expects of them. There is no gray area.

This is what Butch meant when he said he would have the best staff in college football. The best staff is one where everyone does their part well, but they buy into his vision and execute according to his plan. In previous years there were a lot of coaches who were doing their own thing according to their own vision and plan. You could see the dysfunction in all aspects of the program. They've bought in, the players have bought in and it is going to show on the field.

I just think it's been so long since we have had a coach devoted to the team, that we are shocked at how in control the coach is to our program. Even the last 3 or so years of Fulmer was stagnant. It's so refreshing to see someone actually bleed orange instead of just wear orange clothing!

I am happy he is doing what he does. He should be in control and it is the best way to run a program. We will see what the team looks like when the teams on his schedule gets tapes of the games and they will have less time to prepare for us. He is limey the best coach we have had since the General. Only time will tell and we will know by 2016. It is a long wait, but it dos take time to rebuild a program that has sunk the the depths of Vanderbilt and Kentucky. I have been watching Tennessee football since 1946 and my tickets have been in the family since 1933. I am sold on Coach Jones and I am can hardly wait for his recruits to gain the experience and strength to claim another National Championship.

I won't say best coach yet but he has me sold.. Just the way he has sold the program and his players are buying in.. Once everyone starts buying in, this place is gonna be special again!
Also I hope I'm not jinxing us but the off the field problems are non existing so far.. which is another thing I love what CBJ is doing.
He's in total control!
