With the additions of u-tex and OU, there are now 6 teams west of the Mississippi. Atlanta has historically been the host but maybe it needs to start a rotation. The geographic center of the current SEC is somewhere around Memphis. That isn't gonna fly so maybe go with all the NFL stadiums in SEC territory-ish. Rotate between Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, and New Orleans? I wonder if they will do away with the game completely in the coming years so it may not matter.

It's time. It should rotate.

I think commissioners of conferences will want to keep them bc it makes a lot of $ and the CFP keeps the championship games relevant by giving the winners the top 4 seeds. I don’t have a problem moving it around, just as long as Dallas would not be the first choice to replace Atlanta. It needs to be in the Titans new stadium or NOLA first . I think Tampa or Orlando (hope everyone is going to be ok there) could also be potential destinations .

The contract keeping it in Atlanta through the 2031 season was signed just last year. It's not moving anytime soon.

How about moving baseball (Hoover) and men's basketball (Nashville most years) and women's basketball (most years Greeneville) then ?

They won’t rotate. There are season tickets, which I have 4 of, and it would be too difficult to reassign all season ticket seats.
Yeah, reassigning seats when it was moved from the GA Dome to Mercedes caused enough problems.

Fortunately the pair of tickets I have somehow ended up in the lower level of Mercedes after being in the upper deck of GA Dome for 15+ years.

All except baseball should be held in Nashville.

Anywhere but Jerry world.

If it moves he will throw his weight around and get the first game in Dallas.

MBS is the best stadium in the country by a long stretch. Keep the SECCG there.
I agree, keep the game in MBS. Some friends have told me that MBS is awesome and they loved going there, unfortunately I haven’t been yet. You seem to also like it, so in your opinion what is so great about it? Why do you think it is the best stadium in the country? Just curious.

The men's basketball tournament does rotate a bit.

Houston, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Tampa Bay as well?

I don't like Dallas or Charlotte having any piece of it as they are associated with different P4 conferences.

Unless the B12 or ACC decide to move their championship games that is.

It's easy to get in and out. The sightlines are great. It is by far the loudest place I've ever been. And the concessions are dirt cheap. It's just fantastic.

Very cool. Thanks for responding. I remember reading around about the time it opened that one of the new points of emphasis for the Falcons Organization was going to be enhancing the fan’s experience on game day and among other things, affordable concessions was going to be a big change. They had learned from I think another NFL team (can’t remember which) that lowering the concession prices actually made for better profits in the long run and obviously made fans more comfortable and happy. I’ve got to catch a game there someday, I’ve heard mainly good things about MBS.

As much as I would love it to be in Houston since I live here, it doesn’t make geographical sense. Closest team is Texas but it’s still 3 hours away. Dallas makes much more sense.

Isn’t College Station only about an hour and a half or so from Houston?

(Also if I’m not mistaken, Austin and Dallas are also close to 3 hours travel apart.)

Houston is over an hour away from Houston.

Source: I live on the north side of Houston

I literally forgot all about A&M but I stand by my statement. Dallas is approximately 3 hours from College Station so it would still make more sense in regards to distance from A&M, OU & Tex. College Station to Houston is 1.5 hours on the map but closer to 2.5 in real life.

Whenever the contract is up I could easily see it moving to Nashville. The new Titans stadium will be a dome and Nashville has proven to be a great host for entertainment.
