Is James Franklin's Seat Heating Up?

Talked to a booster yesterday about it, or rather I tried. He just did not want to talk Franklin and pretended I was asking about the possibility of Franklin leaving for USC.

It was very strange. Gave me the feeling that Franklin isn’t leaving and made me wonder why? We all know PSU has had some of the biggest trouble a university can get into, I wonder if Franklin knows more than they want?

Or maybe the guy I spoke to was just an idiot. Either works.

Weird conversation though

Man time flies, this is his 8th seasons there. Seems like only yesterday he was heading out of Nashville in a Penn St. 18-wheeler flipping off Vandy.

Maybe he'll end up in the Sun Belt and him and Butch can have some rematches.

Only at PSU can you go from rapists, to trying to clean up your imagine, only to go right back up a man who covered up rape, twice.
Penn St never even had a losing season in the wake of the Sandusky scandal. The consensus at the time, and I bought it, was that they might go 10 years without a winning season or might even pull an SMU. I still can't believe they were able to hire Franklin with as little discussion as there was about what went on when he was at Vandy. Even Baylor only had a one year washout (1-11 in 2017) after their scandal and they've been back off to the races ever since.

Meanwhile us, Nebraska, Florida St, etc. have struggled for years and years purely because we can't get out of our own way. It's incredible.

Bc we have hired ****** coaches. They did not. It's not about off the field. Never has been. At the end of the day people like to act sanctimonious but it's all ********. Win football games. I am not giving Paterno or even Franklin a pass. But in reality that's all fans actually care about.

My point is that it is amazing how Penn St and Baylor were able to hire good coaches after their programs went through horrible rape scandals. Tennessee, Nebraska, etc. have had no such scandals yet haven't been able to find the right coach.

They also don’t play our schedule. Baylor and PSU have easy schedules
