According to some of our media guys, Memphis fans have been calling him a hillbilly, trash, and saying he hopes he likes UT because UT sucks. Typical.

Harrison Smith got the same treatment in 2007 when he picked Notre Dame over Tennessee in football. Maybe even worse, people were showing up at his doorstep and yelling at his family. Even got a death threat (seriously). Never underestimate what fans in Tennessee will do to a high school athlete.

Just saw he is officially on the roster per UTsports.com. He plans to major in Finance and is a chess enthusiast. Seems like a smart kid.

All fanbases have their idiots. Some Memphis fans feel no one should ever leave the city to play anywhere else if they are highly recruited. I think it is good for him because he won't have to listen to the people in his neighborhood telling him all the wrong things, like Joe Jackson does.

they showed him a couple of times. I remember gordan from iu getting the royal treatment at illi. His family was getting hit with things in the stand

I don't think Hillbilly is the politically correct terminology. I believe the term is Appalachian American :)
