*Georgia Bulldogs*athletic director Greg McGarity has apologized to the athletic association's board of directors following the disclosure that rapper Ludacris was paid $65,000 to perform at the school's spring football game and also was provided liquor and a box of condoms.

A box of condoms provided for Ludacris? Are you kidding me? And, a bottle of liquor to boot? That's funny & stupid at the same time.

Well, he's in charge of the football operation and his boss knew nothing about it.

Maybe that.

Well he admitted he (the AD) should have reviewed it so its on him, not Smart --- there is no heat or hate on KS until they hit 3 losses this season - I hope the Vols give them loss # 3

"Few things in my professional life have bothered me more than this situation," McGarity said, according to the Banner-Herald. "There are no reruns in life so we need to turn the page, learn from our mistakes and do everything we can to make sure errors of this nature do not reoccur."

This very public statement was a shot by AD at Kirby.

I think you're right in that thinking. The AD was letting Smart know he didn't like what just happened. He did it publicly too which makes it look even worse for Smart.

He could have jumped him personally/privately but he seems to have taken a shot at him with the mic open. He may have talked to him privately too but this no doubt was aimed at Smart coming from the microphone.

Wonder how ticked he was that 93,000 loyal showed up at practice?

Apparently a lot of the 93,000 took offense or this wouldn't be a story.

Living here in Atlanta I can tell you no one was mad at the concert. The AD wasn't apologizing for the concert. He was disturbed by the riders on the contract. Which I can tell you he didn't expect Smart to review. You are making nothing into something.
