I know I may sound crazy but Hubbs looks like a really solid player. IMO he looks like he'll stay for 2 or 3 years then leave for the NBA draft. What do you guys think?

I think he has the talent to be a 1 and done yes, but I would hope he stays longer.

I spoke with a guy who knows a guy who has a feeling from Hubbs' goal is to be in the NBA ASAP.

The talent yes but I think he needs at least two years. He needs to and some strength and learn to to play against top level competition. I'm so excited for hubbs to get here I think he is going to be the truth

I know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows another guy, who has a dog, who says he's probably one and done.

Is he talented enough yes, but I don't think he cracks the starting lineup with three seniors and two juniors starting. I say we get two years out of him then he goes.

Well I AM that guy and I will tell you he is not a one and done. He is committed to making a significant impact on the Vols program for at least a couple of years. His family is very well informed and will not rush him until he has maximized himself to succed in the league They live financially comfortable, so don't look for them to try to make that quick dollar, mark my words this kid will be a captain by his sophomore year and possibly his junior year. Who knows what he'll do at the college level but, if I had to wager a guess now he leaves after his Jr year. Just for the record he is the type of kid that might be able to graduate in that time frame too.

Off topic but no excuses for CCM next year with Stokes Mcrae Maymon Golden and Hubbs.

You're right. It is off-topic and has been hashed out ad naseum in umpteen other threads.

As to the OP, no, Hubbs is not a one-and-done player. Needs to refine his outside shot and ball-handling. Next year's draft will be very strong more than likely, and he can improve his draft stock by showing improvement from freshman to sophomore year.

Why start this now. He may not even start this year. Way too early to talk about this now.

I think he's hear at least 2 years. Going to be a lot of offense from returning players this year. Even if he's really good, I think he waits until the second year at the earliest. 2014/2015, he could be THE man on the team, and his stock goes up pretty high NBA-wise. Just a very nice problem to have.
