Is setting a hard screen something that is lost on kids these days?

I'm watching UNC v. UVa and I feel like none of these kids do the small things well. Like setting good screens, putting a body on a body when a shot goes up, etc. That would drive me nuts.

lyls, you'd love my 9 yr old then. He isn't a very good basketball player, but loves to pick for the ballhandler and will take the contact.

Have you watched "moving screen" Maymon play yet?

I mean some of these kids waste their talents by not going 100% on every play. UNC would be undefeated if they didn't play so half assed at times.

I mean, am I the only one that feels this way? Maybe it's just me, then. I feel like the small things get overlooked these days.

Boxing out and staring are constant problems.
Not dribbling the ball low and with the fingers drives me crazy.

Noone, and I mean noone, seems to follow their shots anymore. Always fading or standing still as a long rebound comes off.

It's AAU and Rocky top league disease and it's gotten worse over the years. Some of these kids get to campus with accolades and the college coach has to start from scratch.
