ESPN.com - NCF - UGa's Tereshinski expects to return vs. Volunteers

I mean, is this guy that good? He played against Western Kentucky for UGA's season opener and was 9-for-17 for 90 yards and a TD. Not that impressive. He was 2-for-3 for 18 yards before getting hurt in the South Carolina game so that doesn't really tell us much.

My question is, does Tereshinski coming back change UGA's offensive capabilities? I really don't think so. It's his first game back, so it's like a season-opener for him. Don't know why this is getting hyped up on the front page of espn.com

The one thing that Joe3 gives UGA is the full playbook. Richt trusts him more and will have more choices from the old play book. I don't think he is a game breaker by any means ...servicable yes...savior no.

Agreed that he gives us more options in the play book but I expect that you guys will still see alot of Stafford. Joe T just doesnt have the arm to throw down field

OT. Racerrx do you post on the RX-8 forums or is that another with the same name?

Don Tello says he hopes Joe T plays. Don Tello says he is not a good QB. He will get cracked all night long.

Joe T brings one thing to the table that makes him a little better ... knowledge. He knows the offense and will make less mistakes than Stafford. I would love to see a lot of Stafford this Saturday.

I agree w/ VolinArizona, Joe T won't make mistakes like cox and stafford. Joe T kind of reminds me of Rick Clausen, he wouldn't do anything to beat us, he was a smart qb.

More important is that he can read the defenses better.

True my only concern being a Dawg is can he get enough velocity on his passes to not get picked of. If he can then I all will be fine. If not you will see Stafford, because what is a large set of plays going to do you if you cant run the effectively.

WELL - looking at the production of your WR's they need to start with the 8-12 yard passes and work up from there. There is no need to throw the 30 yard bomb every play. The way I see it is that if UGA is successful with the the short pass they will do well the whole game. I am just not sure how effective the play action pass will be if JT3 can't get the ball down the field.

It doesn't matter who they start at QB. If we execute on offense the way we have every game except against Florida, we'll win. If our O-line shows up and we can run the ball decently and give Ainge some time, we win. Simple as that.

They won't be able to score with us if we execute.

I agree but they havent caught the 8-12 yard passes either.

You are going to see a D very much like Florida's.

Joe T III brings experience, playbook, leadership and a little bit calmer demeanor to them...which should help them. He doesn't have the physical prowess Richt may want, but i think he thinks he'll take care of the ball better...

I do agree with Gen on this though...if our offense is able to execute even at 75% of what we've shown so far, it should be enough to out score them...UGA doesn't want this to get in to a shoot out that's for sure.

i expect ball control from them...Air force showed the way on that...keep us off the feild and you can beat us.

One other thing to consider...we really haven't had to play from behind, at least from a serious margin anyways, this year. i think UGA might come out early and see if they can get up on us and see how we react in a hostile environement with a fired up defense...

Good post and I agree with most of it. Do you think that your offense at 75% is good enough against our D?

You know what that reminds me of? Rick Clausen.

We have yet to see how good GA's defense really is. Limiting teams like Western Kentucky and Colorado to low points isn't indicative of anything.

I was just about to point out how well Colorado moved the ball on them as a possibility that they MIGHT not be as good as advertised.
Colorado had 315 yards and scored 13 points. Surely UT can do better than that.

Most of that was from their QB running the ball or scrambling out of the pocket after being forced out and hitting the tight end on a drag pattern. So if Ainge does that you will be fine. As for the inferior opponets. I agree schedule has been weak up to this point and you guys will be our biggest test to date, but still this is football and no matter the teams if your D is only giving up 6.8 points a game. I think you are doing something right.

Yep, you scheduled 3 teams who rank in the 100's in total offense. :)

LOL. Come on you know you these schedules are setup way in advance and how many people was picking USC to upset us?

All that said excuses are the tools of the incompetent so I will hush now.

you can't resally say that either...that would be like saying that you can only look at our defensive stats from the memphis and marshall games. I mean are you really tellingme that you consider WK, SC, UAB, COL, and Ole Miss a fair judgement of your defense ability???
