El Tigre got smoked thursday in the first round of match play by shaun micheel. Does this mean the steak of 5 is over? I personally consider the streak on because this was not a stroke play event...give tiger 4 days to wear them down and they all seem to wither away.

Yeah, the streak is over. I think you're right about stroke play vs. match play though.

Anybody can get hot on any given day and win in match play. That's what makes it so tough.

I think that the streak is technically over also. However, I'm not sure we are really into match play over here in america...we don't seem to freak out over the ryder cup like the europeans do...could just be me though.

Another streak in golf looks to remain intact this weekend, anyway.

Michelle Wie missing the cut in another men's event, that is.

That is so sorry. I'm sorry but I think the women should stay on the womens tour...especially those that can't even win on the womens tour.

It was certainly considered in all of the "Can he catch Snead" articles I have read.
