Do they need to divide us so that they have stuff to talk about and as long as we are divided we will need them to protect us from the other race?

Or is the media only showing how divided we actually are?

I honestly don't know the answers to these questions. I am hoping some of you, from both races, will feel free to let me see what you think.

You show me the countless threads dealing with Asians vs whites or Mexican vs whites or Indians vs whites and then I'll say all races.

I would also not include the illegal alien situation in this topic because honestly that has alot less to do with race and more to do with money.

I see your point though but when I think of the media pushing both sides to agrue I think of black vs white.

To a certain extent, I think so. Legally I'm hispanic (but I look white) but around here blacks and whites are friends, go to school and work together, play sports together and pretty much everybody gets along. I don't see why the media needs to keep making it seem that blacks and whites don't get along or that somebodys not equal- because they are. We all get the same education and have a chance in a free country to do with it as we please (some waste it obviously, but others go on and get great jobs).

And I don't care if a mans white black or what, if he is succesful because he worked hard then I look up to him.

the media does a great deal to keep racism in the minds of minorities.
