I think it’s pretty much agreed that Thor: The Dark World is the “worst” MCU movie and the best DCEU movie is probably either Wonder Woman or Aquaman. Discuss.

I'll go with no. I haven't seen Aquaman yet but WW was better than at least some MCU movies. Off the top of my head Thor: The Dark World, Iron-Man 3, and The Incredible Hulk, and honestly probably more. I wasn't a huge fan of Iron-Man 2 either.

I place WW above both thor 2 & IM3. I place Aquaman above that roughly on par with Thor 3 or Avengers 2. Imho. Other than those two none of the current DC stuff comes close to anything marvel.

yeah no. especially depending on how far back we can go.

all the hulk movies have sucked. but all the Dark Knight movies have been pretty good, with one that was fantastic.

definitely agree about WW as well.

Didn’t the MCU start with Iron Man or am I imagining that? I guess because there was never a stand alone Mark Ruffalo Hulk I never associated the Eric Bana or Ed Norton Hulks with the MCU.

Yes the MCU started with the Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk came out after that; while they don’t reference it that much in later movies, it’s in the MCU. The Eric Bana Hulk is not related.

The Dark Knight movies aren’t in the DCEU, and the 2003 Hulk movie isn’t in the MCU.

I thought Wonder Woman was actually a lot of fun...but Gal Gadot kicking butt in leather *might* have skewed my ratings a bit.

Haven’t seen Aquaman but WW is definitely better than quite a few of the MCU movies. Not even just the “worst” ones.

Nolan's Batman films are DC's only saving grace. The rest, pass. Of course I grew up a Marvel reader, never liked DC.

I haven't seen all of either universe's movies, but I couldn't even finish Wonder Woman. All the CGI looked so incredibly fake, it took me out of it

You must have hated the climax of Black Panther then. Those Rhinos where some of the worst CGI I’ve seen in a long time.

Iron man 3 was the worst Marvel movie .

Most of the DC movies have let me down, but I thought Man of Steel was very good

I don't understand why IM3 doesn't get more crap. I actually think I like Thor: The Dark World better than IM3. IM3 was such a letdown. It didn't help it was the first movie after The Avengers but still. The whole thing felt kinda mailed in, and they totally botched The Mandarin. And for all the hoopla of changing characters to be more inclusive, they turn around and change an actual Asian character to an old British guy. Go figure.

Aquaman was way more fun than any of the avengers so far.

If DC gets it correct now they will mow down Marvel.

DC has no leader with a vision for the entire franchise like Marvel does. They may get a hit here and there but unless Marvel really fails post Endgame I doubt they fall off the map.

There are alot of people who are fans and even collectors of Xmen stuff and media, and as long as they make movies featuring wolverine, folks will go see them. Dont know where they go now after the last wolverine movie though, or think Jackman will play him again? I knew of many comic book characters through friends etc but collected very little. X men had an awesome cartoon though, and for people now 35 to 45 years old...it was one of their or their singular favorite growing up. They will always go and see the movies, there is a connection. I am 41, my childhood saw GI Joe and Transformers as the best cartoons, weekends only was 1 episode of xmen. It was huge. Gambit was a badass in the cartoon, never developed in the movies at all...tragedy. People who arent fans of comics like Xmen in the way that Batman did in the 90s. Aquaman isn't gonna get there. Lots of others arent either sadly. The characters have to act in a way that people can identify.

I am a huge comics fan.

I honestly say the marvel movies are getting stale and fast. Iron man 3 blew. Captain America 3 blew. Age of Ultron blew. Venom was ok but not great and overly cheesy.

Woody Harrelson as carnage..... come on.

They need more outside the main characters movies like ant man or they are going to over saturate the market.

Aquaman shows they figured how things needed fixed and they did it.

I foresee the future for DC much brighter than marvel. Disney will destroy marvel just like they did Star Wars.
