RH3 and Austin Nichols have always said they wanted to play together. Does anyone think Hubbs will go to Memphis as well. Lord I hope not.

Lol no

Everyone really needs to calm down and step off the ledge....things will be ok, I promise.

This is still going to be a top 20 class, and this years team is a team to be excited about.

Support the team, if they have a great year highly ranked classes will become a regular occurrence for Tennessee under Martin.

It is disappointing, but it's not the end of the world. I have faith in CCM, and I believe that he will be a great coach. The fact that we are discussing these type players is incredible. Let's move on.

I'm not saying this because the kid picked Memphis but I really didn't see nothing there to make me think he was going to be a star at Tn. He reminded of the kid from east ridge that came to Tn but ended up at Chatt St. He was just taller than most kids he was playing against. I just wasn't impressed with him . Jmo

No way man. Make no mistake...Nichols is a serious baller that will school folks on the college level. It hurts us REALLY bad to miss out on him.

I'm not gonna get into it, but Rob Lewis said this today...paraphrase...."since I won't have to cover him I can now say, ive always though Nichols was overrated. He's a good prospect, but always just thought that he was very overrated"

Just thought I'd share.

Ouch. I always felt that Jurick had potential, but that he was a headcase. He hung out with too many bad influences at East Ridge and was never coached up. Jurick was raw, but and was a better than average defensive player. Although he did have a stint a Chatt State (and briefly signed with UTC), he ended up at OK State. His current status to my knowledge is unknown d/t some type of drug-related arrest (go figure). Nichols on the other hand had a certain rhythm to his game and had fine skills. He's fundamentally sound and just a good player. Jurick was always taken based on his potential, not his skills.

I can understand his sentiments. I've never thought there was anything elite about Nichols, but that just just did everything "good." I think he has the potential to do something at an elite level, but he is nowhere near the same elite players as a Wiggins or Parker where they do multiple elite things. Nichols, in my mind, was always projected to be a 4-year player that was going to make whichever school he landed at very proud (ie, Wayne Chism).

Kind of what Lewis was saying....thinks he's good, but not top 20 5* NBA all star potential good.

The funny thing is if you read back, I always said Memphis worried me the most if he would consider them, nice try though.

And yes everything will be ok, this is going to be a top 20 class at worst, and we have a future NBA player in that class...We have a chance to have great success this year, and with proven success it will only make recruiting easier for Martin.

So yes, everything will be ok.

I don't care if your wrong but at least admit it. It's not like the below post from you was six months ago or anything.

It tells me he definitely wasn't serious about auburn, not that I ever thought he was and I tried to tell people that.

But no...what's he going to say, I'm ditching auburn for a day, to go to Memphis madness, simply because i got some friends going and it should be a fun event?

I'm really not the least bit worried, he's not going to Memphis.

Is Nichols a five-star, one and done type recruit? No way. Is he a top 50 kid that has a huge upside because of how coachable he'll be? Absolutely.

He's probably a little overrated, but that doesn't mean he won't be a great player.

Oh I absolutely was wrong, I'll admit that, I don't care...he was Tennessee bound, even informed the staff of this, s**t changes. Continue to look back though and you'll find where I said Memphis was the school that concerned me the most, if he gave them a serious look...well he did and guess what happened?

Pretty sure you called Nichols to UT as well my friend lol.

I only went as far as to speculate that UT lead, and to caution everyone to reserve judgment until he actually announced.

But when you bring up my prediction that Stokes would go to Memphis, I respond with the exact paragraph that you just typed out. Stokes was going to Memphis until he wasn't, same with Nichols.

We were both right and wrong, depending on what point in time you analyze the prediction.
