I am a big believer that luck is simply a product of your talent and preparation. With that being said I am beginning to lean more and more towards our program is cursed.

At one point and time you felt like when the game was on the line we would catch a break to win the ball game or simply pull it out. Since fulmer has been gone it almost seems like when we are in a position to win you sit there and think what can happen for us to lose this game? Then it happens. Anyone else feel this way?

I agree. It's almost funny the crazy ways we find to lose. Almost like Fulmer sold our souls to satan haha but I hate it for the players. Seeing marlon walls bawling his eyes out tore me up. The effort has to be rewarded at some point right?

Nope. Just less talent.

I thought the same thing until the second half. However, we caught a several breaks such as:

1) UGA hit the uprights missing a field goal;

2) Worley had a ball deflected which probably would have been a pick (but Worley played excellent and I think he gets it now);

3) we made 3 4th down conversions;

4) a ton of UGA guys got hurt;

5) A UGA player on defense was called for delay of game (maybe an okay call but I've never seen that before);

6) CBS camera misses feet on TD pass to North which looked like a lucky break.

To me, I thought we got a few breaks and was thinking Jones beat the curse.

Nope. Just less talent.

Less talent isn't a freak fumble at the one. Less talent isn't us or the other team having 13 guys on the field at the perfect time. Less talent isn't 2 blocked fgs in one game. God just isn't a Tennessee fan.

I don't believe in that BS. It's silly and if you think we are cursed you must be a moron.

Having said that, yes. We are absolutely cursed!

I saw a Kentucky fan shaking his head one day and wondered why the hell he was shaking his head

No. Boston had a "curse" till they won the World Series. New Orleans in football till they won the Super Bowl. Tampa Bay before Gruden. Superstition only exists if it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy.

It would be interesting to ask Florida's and Georgia's players just how hard Tennessee hits. We emerged from both of those games, with the notable exception of Peterman's hand injury, injury-free, whereas Georgia and Florida both sustained a host of injuries.

Mark Richt said he was praying...I know I was too. I guess that means God is a Georgia fan? So confused right now.

There are many situational factors as most of you know, as well as 6 individuals who most of the time make the best judgment they can. As many have pointed out we have depth issues, true. But no matter what anyone says we went toe to toe with a team who was supposed to beat us by double digits. Team played hard and the volnation played hard as well! Go Big ORANGE!

He was probably praying to Buddha! Still i guess it worked for now! Two years in a row it will come back to us soon! Go Big ORANGE!

In the past, (1) We would have Eric Gordon to get an interception and return it for a t.d. and beat Vandy in the last seconds of the game.

(2) We had Dan Williams to block a field goal against Kentucky in overtime to put us in the S.E.C. Championship game.

(3) We had Jason Allen break up a t.d. pass against Bama in O.T. to give us the win.

(4) We had James Banks catch a hail Mary while surrounded by 3 Florida defenders for a t.d.

(5) We had Jason Witten make a t.d. catch in the 6th O.T. against Arkansas to give us the win.

(6) We had the kicker of UAB miss a field goal on 4 different occasions in a game to give us the win.

(7) We had Florida's kicker miss the game winning field goal to give us the win.

(8) We had a 52 yard game winning field goal against FLorida in 2004 for the win.

(9) Clint fumbles the ball in our game against Arkansas and we are able to recover the fumble and win the game.

Now our luck is different.

(1) Arian Foster fumbles against Penn State.

(2) Lincoln's kick against Bama is blocked.

(3) 13 men on the field against LSU

(4) Ref made bad call in North Carolina game.

(5) Rajon Neal, while playing q.b. against Kentucky, takes his eyes off the center, once he does that the center hikes the ball and the play is for negative yards, rather than the game winning two yard run.

(6) Missed block from offensive line against UGA last season and Bray's game winning pass never leaves his hands, but to fall on the ground as a fumble.

We have to continue to change the attitude and make the breaks. I remember that the players started to doudt in 1998 against Florida but Al Wilson told them not to doudt. Once they regained that confidence in that game, we won. Positive attitude. A not to be denied attitude.

I feel your pain I feel the same way just waiting for something bad to happen to make us lose the gm. Especially after the LSU & N Carolina season we get so close its heartbreaking I thought for sure we had it won today

Dooley was the curse (Lane too) but Doolz was the one who was so awful he made us looked cursed -- poor coaching, poor game management and the inability to even count Get that crap out of your minds. Our team fought to wire and deserves to be lauded for it. We need to be there for them with fire in our bellies and positive energy for them both at Neyland and in our posts (and we all know posts get around and reach them).

THEY EARNED THAT MUCH TONIGHT!
