Way too many season ending injuries this season. And it goes back to early in the year. This is approaching Butch level attrition.
Are we Just snakebit this year or is something wrong in our S & C program?
And there is no way our OL and DL should get manhandled the way they did all game Saturday.

I was thinking that the other day. Reminds me of when Butch pretty well canned the whole S&C program. Everyone was getting hurt.
But to be honest, it’s a problem across all of college football. I don’t believe they practice enough live-action contact.

The size and speed of players now is mostly the cause of the increase of injuries, across the board at all levels. High school, college and the NFL. It's exactly why they have been changing "hitting" rules for years. If an offensive lineman is engaged with a defensive lineman, it's not "football" for another offensive player to chip the engaged defensive player. That's one example

Dunno but when I heard Schrader had 40...FORTY...touches and over 300 yards by his lonesome, I did wonder why Wright taps out so often.

Why are players getting hurt? 6'5" 340 lbs. hitting and falling on you.

I worked with a guy who was a starting guard for Georgia years ago, he weighed 185 lbs.

No. Knees, ankels, etc getting bent in unnatural ways. Lots of reasons for that. Effort and focus on road games has been a problem. For Alabama and Florida it was checking out for basically a half. I guess we put together a complete game for Missouri! 😒 Seriously our depth has improved but not enough to overcome multiple injuries at LB, DB, and maybe WR. Our LB and DB play was very poor Saturday as we were so out of position repeatedly. You get sustained drive after drive then you will get worn down. Coaching on both sides of the ball didn't help. I don't blame S&C for this one.

Strength and conditioning has been an issue ever since John Stucky got sick. Craig Fitzgerald seemed decent, but he only stuck around for two years.
Our guys have physically outperformed anything Fitzgerald ever put on the field. Fitz spent a third of his time at UT replacing brand new weight facilities, a third fielding offers from other programs and the test watching his players go backwards.

We should use more steroids. UGA and Bama get players back from injuries much quicker than we do. I don't think its a coincidence.
