Is there a QB controversy at UF?

If it was up to the fans there would be....UF needs to keep using the two the way they are. That's in thier best intrest.

I don't really think there is. I think most sane observers realize that for as good as Tebow has looked, he's only playing in optimal situations. Call me when Tebow actually plays a couple of downs from inside his own 30 yard line or is actually on the field when it's 3rd and 10.

Its not really a QB controversy, you just take Leak out put in Tebow if the games is on the line.

He didn't look so good against AU. I know he got a touch but he didn't get the big runs. I think teams are on to it and he is going to have a tougher time next year than most think he will.

Better get used to it. You've got 3 more years of it.

On the upside though, we have three more years of "Teabag=Tebow" jokes.

:dance2:

I'll be much more impressed when he shows he is more than a situational player.

I wouldn't be too worried; we'll get our chances to smack him around a good bit here and there.

I agree, GAVol. Tebow has looked pretty good in his situation, but if you were UF, who would you go with if the game is on the line? I'm not buying in to the Tebow hype because he has yet to make clutch throws to keep a drive going in a big game. Leak has. That's why he starts for a big-time SEC team and Tebow holds the clipboard 95% of the time.

Let's wait 'til midseason next year before we have this conversation.

PS: What happened to Xavier Mitchell? He played really well vs. Florida, but I've missed him the past few games. Is he hurt?

We don't have the monopoly on squandered oppurtunity, bub.

You appear very sensitive about the continued use of the Teabag as a strategy at UF, LG. :ermm:

See what I mean? Three more years of teabag jokes. Solid gold.

I think that jokes based on his name are just about all that you will have left to smile about next year, and the year after, and the year after that.

Wow, a full blown acolyte of the Church of Tebow!

Keep drinking the Kool Aid.

You are expecting an evolution of the player culminating in an Alex-Smith-meets-the-Incredible-Hulk end scenario. It could happen.

He could become Urban's Frankenstein monster... wait... does anyone else smell Beano Cook and Ron Powlus?

Don't get me wrong, I think the 'bag has incredible talent as a power rushing QB, but I'd like to see him get more snaps in real situations before I make a judgment. Why not start him against Vandy?

The florida fans in my opinion are getting way to excited about him, how many catagories is he leading in the SEC. By the way they act you would think he's leading the country in rushing yards or something. Oh i forgot he's 1 for 1 in the jump pass catagory.

There is no controversy. Sure, some fans are complaining aobut Leak, but they are idiots and no one that knows anything about college football pays them any mind.

Your humor belies your fear.

And your jealousy.

I think our level of excitement is appropo for the occassion. In other words, Tebow IS, in fact, that good.
