This years team has lost all 5 games due to poor defensive rebounding. We need a presence on this team to be a leader.A guy like maymon, tatum, or golden needs to step up and be a leader off the court. The last off court leader we had was lofton, and it shows on the court.

out rebounded games:
vs. UNCG: 34-31
vs. Duke: 34-37
@ Oakland: 41-37
vs. Pittsburgh: 38-32

I hope CCM can get a big guy to commit. What do you guys think?

I've always thought Kenny Hall was a bust and he's way to skinny. Maymon is short for a 4. I don't even need to bring up Woolridge whos 6'9" and couldn't out-rebound muggsy bogues.

I disagree....I feel positively that Woolridge could out rebound Muggsy....of course, I could be wrong...on more serious note, if we can take sports seriously, I feel that Yemi or Miller MIGHT become a decent inside rebounder on the defensively end...just don't know when....I think we would all agree...rebounding is ALL about desire...period...end of story...

You might be right.. I just didn't want to put Spud Webb because thats a no brainer. I hope Miller can come around too. I just get discouraged by Woolridge because I feel like he has the least desire of anyone on the team.

Though I agree 110%, rebounding also has a lot to do with position. Maymon can rebound well, but what people are forgetting is he's playing hurt. Yemi should be starting. He has the ability to grab 6-8 boards in 20 mins play. Facts are, Woolridge, Hall, and yes the hero McBee our scrubs compared to most players we play against. At least McBee has some heart, unlike Hall and Woolridge that seam to never improve.

Hall's had double digit rebounds last two games. Maybe there's still some hope.

Woolridge is not one of the better players on our roster, but he has given 200% every minute he's been in the floor this season.

Boxing out would help.

Definitely need to work on that. We need to use these next few games to iron out what is fixible so we can play our best when the big boys come to town. I have faith in Martin as of right now, but we'll see how well he's adjusted by March or so.

Like the others said, it's just position and playing the averages, fundamentals.
