where CCM misses the tourney and is retained? I don't see how with the talent he has this year we should at least be a Sweet 16 team.

I'm in the camp that based on what we're paying him and what we would likely be willing to pay a new coach, I think his job is safe, even if we miss the AA tournament. JMO.

I agree to a certain extent. If we are on the bubble and barely miss making the tournament, I think he is safe. But if we aren't even in the discussion on selection Sunday, that might be enough to pull the plug. Regardless, with the talent we have this year, we shouldn't be in a position to have to worry about it. I hope we finish strong.

It was over 2 million, but I think it goes down significantly after next year. Somebody else correct me if I'm wrong.

It's 60% of his pay. He's got 2 years left on his deal after this year and he makes $1.35 million iirc.

If he's fired April 2014: $1.62 million
If he's fired April 2015: $810k (assuming he doesn't get an extension)

The thing about it to me is I don't think we're as talented as everybody thinks. But on the other hand we should be doing a lot better than we are. If we don't make the dance again this year I think he should be showed the door immediately.

I agree....another 'potential' factor is that this administrations 'tendencies/philosophy' RE this issue are unclear..

Well that would be disappointing.

If he misses the tourney he's gone IMO because he's underachieving with what talent he's got, attendance is down, and recruiting is down - we weren't in Rivals Top 30 last time I looked.

I think if we are on the bubble at least he comes back.

You really think we are in the 16 most talented teams in the country? Nobody thought that before the year. If they did we would have been ranked.

Just curious on what the average revenue on ticket sales is under CCM. Anyone know?

I have no idea RE revenue under martin however I have been very and pleasantly surprised that our attendance has been as high as it has been when you consider the quality of basketball we're playing and just as importantly the lack of excitement and or fun element....I think the fans need to be commended...if you agree with my observation what would you attribute it to?

Attendance has been fine. Martin has won enough at home to keep fans coming for the most part. At home fans have seen victories over Florida twice, uconn, Xavier, Wichita state, Virginia, Vandy twice, Kentucky, Missouri in 2+ seasons.
