I did hear that Barak during one of the patriotic songs which mentions god did not put his hand over his heart like everyone else. Also he refuses to swear on a bible and uses a Koran. Are either of these issues for you?

Well, they shouldn't be and they should be. This country was founded on freedom of religion, but we do tend to be traditionalists when it comes to lots of things. It bothers me, but it isn't against the law or anything.

I thought he professed himself to be a Christian and has even distanced himself from his Muslim past....however small it was.

obama is saved and baptized via the Church of Christ denomination. As someone who received a minor in Bible, considered going to the seminary, still considers God (the Christian one) to be the most important part of his life, would willingly serve his country if asked to do so and is extremely patriotic, I only put my hand over my heart for the pledge. what's the big deal here?

(no way am i voting for obama though)

100% false across the board.

There is a picture/video of him not saluting during the pledge, but that's it. I believe was a complete mental fart on his part is all.

As for mentioning god ... he does it here in the pledge.... I don't know about patriotic songs and don't really care about that. As for putting your hand over your heart for the Star Spangled Banner....I don't think that is a requirement of good citizenship.

He could be named "George Washington" and it wouldn't influence my vote. He's still a socialist.
