CAIR claims it is.

OH, BOO HOO! CAIR thugs say high school football players are victims of anti-Muslim discrimination « Windsor, CO ACT! For America

DEARBORNISTAN: After four Muslim teenage football players were charged with misdemeanor Assault & Battery, their attorney from terror-linked CAIR and Arab-American community leaders claim the players were targeted for prosecution because they are Arab (Muslims).

I'm interested in what OE thinks about this since he is in law enforcement.

Personally I think the charges brought against these little thugs were rather light for the crime they committed.

In my view, they dropped the race card awfully fast.

What they did was not a crime. They should have received some penalty by the referees and league for unsportsmanlike conduct but they didn't commit a crime in my view. At least not during the play, maybe there was more that happened afterwards that wasn't on the video.

I couldn't watch the video but I understand the victim suffered a concussion?

I don't know if it was a crime but if it was bad enough that charges were brought up, they deserve more than a penalty. Since this is high school and not pro or college, they should at the very least be kicked off the team. You get suspended for fighting in those leagues so underage kids should have zero tolerance when it comes to throwing punches. They're playing a mans sport but they're still kids. No room for high school kids throwing punches. Especially in front of a bunch of fans and teachers on school grounds. You can't go around beating people up at school so they should be held to the same standards while playing for the school imo.

The reporter says that they hit this kid after he took a knee to run out the clock. Since that means that the the play would have been over and the contact not part of the game, the assault charges would be consistent with many others around the country for fighting during athletic events.

Funny, I thought those came with a fine, seeing as they're all in protective padding while playing a contact sport.

I don't see SWAT teams on the sidelines when a scrum goes south in rugby.

Are there a lot of high school rugby teams? I haven't seen any in my parts. Just asking since I don't know of any.

Don't know the whole story but if a kid got a concussion from the fight, he should have charges pressed against him. Unless of course he was just defending himself. Again, this isn't college or pros... it's underaged high school kids. The 18 year old seniors are still 3 years away from being able to buy a freaking scratch it ticket. No high school football player deserves to get a concussion because someone was upset about a game.

Plus... not every high school has man sized athletes like Texas high schools. I went to a 2A school in midwest where some kids were like 5'10 160 and other kids were like 6'4 250. Is it just part of the game if the big guy lays out the little guy because it's the heat of the moment?

I get that there will be scuffles during football games but high school games shouldn't go as far as shoving and shouting matches. A bunch of kicks and punches being thrown should be automatic dismissal from the team. Some 16 and 17 year olds(underage) are just out there to have fun and make clean tackles/get hit cleanly. They're not out their to throw punches and defend themselves from being sucker punched or stomped on.

I'll just stand by the fact if pro players making a ton of money and college players getting a scholarship are suspended for fighting, an underage high school kid playing for free should be thrown off the team for that crap.

.... adding to that. When I was a senior, one of the bigger juniors and smaller juniors got in a fight. It boiled over to the showers and the bigger guy slammed him into the wall breaking his jaw. The only reason he didn't have charges pressed against him is because the other family was going to sue and they settled out of court. You just can't go around beating the crap out of under aged kids, period. Any school trying to bring up respectable members of society wouldn't allow some jackass beating up on other kids just to win football games. That would contradict everything they've taught you about being an adult. I don't know about you but while I'll watch UFC fights, I don't hang out with people going around starting fights in public. It's pretty trashy if you have so little self control and get so angry you want to fight random people. Even UFC fighters(most) don't do that.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be reprimanded. If they play another down of football in their lifetime, that's an injustice. I'm stunned they were only suspended for 7 games.

However, it was still a sanctioned contact sporting event. Concussion or no, I don't think any criminal charges should be pressed. I don't know why their religion is relevant to some (unless there are tenets of Islam that demand certain action against Christians in football games).

My verdict:

-No more sports for these *******s.
-No criminal charges.
-Perhaps a civil court settlement should be sought after for damages.
-I don't give a damn about their creed.

C'mon dude. It would be a non-story to GS if it involved anything other than Muslims.

Back to my original question;

Do you think authorities were being racist by bringing criminal charges? Yes or no?

I mean after all dude, the moslems were the ones who raised the charge of racism.

are you asking is it racist to not know the difference between Asians and Muslims?

The boy was attacked by a group of ’asian’ (newspeak for Muslim) thugs on Saturday

Update, his name is Daniel, he was attacked by 10 muslim youths. Kav and Dan were walking up Market Street, Hyde..minding their own business when a gang of at least 10 asian lads beat them up.
Did anyone go to the website mentioned in the OP?

yep, seems legit IMO

The phrase "he's the bomb" takes on a whole different meaning in Muslim countries.

It would depend if there have been other similar fights during athletic events and what charges, if any, were brought.

If there has been other fights like this and if the police did not charge anybody, then they have a case. If other people have been charged for fights during athletic events, then they do not.

That's a fair answer.

I have a really funny gif to illustrate 'Halal Facial' but I dare not post it for fear of being banned.

No, but an interesting question.

I'll bite, how do you tell the difference and is that racist?

I'll say this, the nutcase that killed the Sikh in Arizona in response to 9/11 should have done a little (a lot) more research into headgear before he went off half cocked.

It is impossible to not tell the difference between a Sikh and a moslem turban, impossible.

Ronnie is wildly skeptical of anything that doesn't fit into his politically correct indoctrination.

Actually, attacks such as the one above that I linked is a widespread problem in England.

One township solved their problem of roving thugs in their parks by tossing pig fat about.

The gangs quit showing up to beat up on the local residents, do you think that was because they were Asian or some other reason?
