"At Cincinnati, we lost more NFL productivity than any team in the country" Butch Jones Presser.
Also at one point he said he and his staff won four championships in four years, then in another place he said four out of six years.
At UC he averaged just over 7 wins a season and about 8 in the MAC. Can 7 or 8 wins a season lead to four championships in the SEC?

Only if he can put together a top notch staff and get us back to the top 10 in recruiting. Only time will tell if he can do either.

He has gone 10-2 every season except his first after taking over for Kelly

That's strange here is from the UC media

Butch Jones is leaving Cincinnati to become the head football coach at ... for the past three years, recording a 23-14 record during that span.

I've never been able to understand how you can look at a coaches record in a lower level conference and compare it to the SEC. I really think you have to look at how they performed against conference opponents. The same goes with recruiting. The SEC and a conference like the Big East are different levels in regards to recruiting, facilities, etc. FTR, Dooley had a losing record in the WAC when he was hired. This should have been a red flag.

His first year at cinch he was 4-8 because Kelly left him no talent. Then went 10-3 and 9-3. So take away that 1 4 win season and he averaged 9 wins a year. What's wrong with that?

Yeah, Saban averaged 7 wins a year at MSU, with his highest being his last year at 9 wins, then dominated the SEC both at LSU and Alabama. Les Miles was also 28-21 at OSU before taking on LSU. It can happen, but only time will tell. The more I look at this guy, the more I like him. I'll tell you this, he is no Dooley, a huge 180 actually...
He Embraces former players. Is a players coach, owns his problems and truthful/open with them, as well as having fun with them. Understands and uses Social Media(Twitter), this is going to be huge in connecting with these young men in this day and age.
This morning I was way down on this hire, but looking at what I just stated along with some other stuff, I'm coming around.

Nothing except he was there three years not two. Of course one of those loses of the 10-3 season was to UT and it was not close.
But again is it true that they lost more players to the NFL than any team in the country?
