Is Vandy for real?

Its been a long time I think since Vandy started off 2-0.
I'm wondering if Arkansas and Wake Forest are that bad, or Vandy is that good? Probably a little of both....

Wake got blasted by a mediocre Nebraska team. However, Vandy probably has their best team in some time. Cutler is a quality QB.

How about this? If Vandy can figure out a way to get by Ole Miss, their next two games are against Richmond and MTSU.

Vandy could conceivably play LSU in October with a 5-0 record!?!?

Hold it, hold it, hold it. We're talking Vandy here. They could DEFINITELY drop the next 3 if they wanted to.

OTOH, I bet Spurrier will drop his coffee mug in the morning when he sees the print in the paper that Vandy is sitting on top of him in the SEC East.

I dunno. I've noticed Vandy slowly, but consistently, getting a little better each season. Last year they gave us a tough contest. Granted, last year we weren't amazing, but still, like you say, it's VANDY. I hope they are for real tho, even if they do finish low in the east. I'm always in favor of having a bottom dweller transform to contender. Makes the conference stronger.

How much worse can it get :biggrin2: . I'll be pulling really hard for Ole Miss this week. I don't think I can stand to live with some of those self righteous Vandy fans around here if they go 5-0 :yuck:

I gotta say I'm happy for Vandy. I wanna see 'em win every game but 1 as I woulnt have a problem with them being the conference gimme except they do hang their hat in Tennessee.

Well let me say that Arkansas is not that good. They are loaded with talent at RB (although only one got the majority of the carries against Vandy last night) and have some talent at receiver, but they are struggling at quarterback and defense.

That said, don't bash Vandy that much. I do remember several games where they have gave us a run for our money... last year?

Also, being in Arkansas, I am loving it. After everything I have heard for the last 2 years about "well if we played Vandy every year..." and now it has come home to them. So Arkansas might as well :mf_surrender: and realize that they now suck more than Vandy.

I also realized... If they can beat Ole Miss and South Carolina, which I think could really happen, they'll be 4-4 in conference play, and 7-4 overall :blink:

Wasn't I the one person in here to predict Vandy actually having a good season this year?
