I read that he already down-played war with Israel this week in New York, for whatever reasons. The real power in Iran is the Revolutionary Guard, and it does not take orders from the Iranian President. The RGs are in control of Iran's nuclear program and its missile program. They are supposed to take orders from the Ayatollah, but his authority has limitations.

I'm not a great big fan of Netanyahu, but I agree with much of what he's been saying about Iran. There is no doubt in my mind that the Revolutionary Guard is working to develop both nuclear weapons and missile delivery systems for them. This is more than us fighting another war for Israel, but of course that is exactly what Israel wants us to do. The IDF lacks needed capabilities that we definitely possess.
