Israel vs Palestinians

Taking dissent as agreement isn't the way to a correct conclusion.
We did. See Kuwait and Iraq, Bosnia and Serbia.
Israel should back off the occupied territories, Palestinians should cease their aggression, and both sides should genuinely work on a fair long term soluton.
They never will do that, that's a pipe dream. There is nothing Israel can do to satisfy the Palestinians other than leave altogether or die.

So when it's our buds, or our overlords' buds, applying the brutal reality it's just the way the world works and is really a shame. When our buds are getting said brutal reality done to them though it's naked and unacceptable aggression which must be defeated. Noted.
That's not my position. And it shouldn't be America's, imo. I know it is a harsh truth but the better fighting force historically does what they want, when they want, to who they want. I am not making a statement on the morality of that truth. Nor am I making a statement about the hypocritical stance of other nations (including ours) when that truth is applied. I am making a statement about immigrating somewhere else...anywhere else...and the reasons why. I would do everything in my power to get my family out of that area ASAP. Ancestral lands be damned.

There is brutality all over the world. The sandbox is just another small area of intense conflict. Seems to me the only difference is how long the conflict has lasted. I have said many times on this forum the conflict will outlive all of us unless one side subjugates the other completely. Why we choose to get involved sometimes and turn a blind eye other times doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I wish people like you were granted complete power over the area. You genuinely want peace. Not all the decision makers are so noble. Until someone with your type of approach is in a position to foment a long term fair solution, what you want will never happen. I want to win the Mega Millions. Also, will never happen.

I’m guessing “fair long term solution” involves a full right to return, and kicking the Jews (back) off their land 😅

Neither side wants peace, I think Israel could be swayed to enter into a two state solution....... But Palestinians will not. So the point is moot.

Well put. I know quite a few people who use "the Palestinians need to leave to save themselves' as rationalization for 'they should just leave so the Israelis get everything.

Which side's coming closest today?
Looks to me, having read Hamas' founding documents and public statements, Israel has been protecting themselves from a group of militant religious zealots who were founded on the basis of wiping them off the planet with no quarter given.

It sounds like your mileage varies.
