They ARE the only Democracy in the region. And the Left SHOULD appreciate the fact that they are the only country in the region that will not imprison you (or worse) if you are gay.
I will never understand how Leftists who are so concerned about LBGQBT (not sure how many other letters I am supposed to add THIS week) will gladly cozy up to and cheer for Islamic states that will literally throw gays off of rooftops. I would really like for someone on the left to explain that one to me

To be fair that's something that should have been taken into consideration when they originally elected them. They knew good and well who and what Hamas was. Them relinquishing power when the time came should have been questioned from the beginning.

Same energy is that there were no elections for 12 years after 1933 when the Germans elected Hitler and his cronies. The electorate had to pay for their choice long after they were denied the chance for a do over.
You make stupid choices and there is no guarantee that you will ever get a chance to reverse them. It sucks; but it is life. Gazans made their choice and now they have to drink the bitter cup to its dregs unfortunately
