Both our lines were whipped tonight.

Missouri can run the ball because one of their lineman could consistently release straight to the 2nd level. We couldn't defeat man on man blocking.

Meanwhile our drop back passing oline lacks the footspeed and the nastiness to run consistently. Losing our oline won't hurt as much as losing our entire cast of skill players this year.

I agree trench play for the vols has not been good most of the year. Oline.......don't know what the problem is but defense is pure lack of talent

What Mizzo did to us is what we should have done to them. By that I mean run the football, protect your freshman QB. Look at how many runs versus passes they had and how many we had. Jones needs to sit down with his offensive and defensive coordinators and read them the riot act.

MO had they perfect game plan against us. Stack the box and stop the run and force a freshman QB making his first start to beat them. We had way to many dropped passes and poor decisions by Dobbs to win that game.

Graduation is going to solve a lot of the current problems, mainly the culture of losing. :twocents:

Alex Bullard killed us all game. Its like he didn't practice w/ Dobbs at QB all week. idk how many false starts he had but it was atleast 5 and probly 10 total.

The false starts by the OL were probably the lowest point of a pretty low performance.

The only good news is that we are better than what we showed last night. Hopefully it was an anomaly going into the rest of the season.
