At first I thought "NO WAY... 3 yrs"..then I looked it up...:(
November 20th, 2010 - Vanderbilt in Nashville
November 6th, 2010 - Memphis in memphis
November 28th, 2009 - KY in lexington

Been almost 4 years since we have won on the road, OUTSIDE the state of Tennessee...sad, sad state of affairs ladies and gentlemen.

Earlier in the season I asked the same question and posted the same stats. I am amazed that we struggle so badly on the road and it is almost inexplainable as we have struggled under 4 different head coaches on the road. The last quality road win if I remember correctly was at UGA in 2007.

I am beginning to wonder if losing on the road is not the culture for UT now.

Miss St. in 2007 is the last time we've won a road game against a team not in state or Kentucky.

I remember during the "Fire Dooley" parade last year, all kinds of stats were posted that just blew my mind. I guess I had forgotten...that stat hurts.

The fact is we are such a bad team that we can only beat powder-puffs. We need to start playing all of our nonconference games on the road. Surely, we would still lose to Oregon, but we might beat 2 out of the other three.

Signature win for Stoops vs UT playing for nothing.
Prepare yourselves for the worst.

I realize how silly it sounds calling a victory over the Vols a signature win but remember this is Kentucky we are talking about.

You can just stop. We all know you think Butch is a loser and will be hoping for a loss just so you can say you were right.

No, actually I haven't said anything like that. I have put down his below average OC and DC though. I think he's got a good chance to be successful here, but he's gonna have to do some adjusting or they're gonna cost him his job.

I dunno, I'd disagree here, Doyle. I think UK's win over us 2 years ago w/Joker as HC was much more of a "signature win" for UK's program, but not necessarily for the HC since his career at UK was on the downward spiral anyway. I say this simply because of how much more talent we had on that team that year, despite losing the game. If Stoops beats us Saturday, it will be held in high regard by the fan base, but I wouldn't consider it a signature win because of where we are talent-wise now as compared to then (on offense, that is, to clarify). JMO.

I'd reserve judgement on that statement until he gets more of his style talent in here.

Pretty much sums up my feelings.

Anyone thinking this game is a gimme game is crazy....This team is going in with absolutely no wind in the sails, not one iota of momentum. The ONLY thing they have to play for is an arbitrary "record" of being one of only two teams to never lose eight games...They are quite literally playing to not be known as the worst in UT history (record wise). That can't do much for confidence.....
