Y'all know what this means.

We're back in it if ASU stays on course.

It could be a BCS nightmare.

I don't care if I miss every pic 'em as long as it helps the Vols have a shot at a NC.

If USC loses and we take care of our business we could easily be in the Rose Bowl.

If we had wins over LSU, GA, Bama, and ND plus a SECCG win, we'd be a lock.

Just win Vols.

We are going to have to improve a ton on offense to even start thinking about running the table.

I think we will improve. You have to call today's game Clausen's first real game of the season.

If coach will just let him play he'll get better. Also, he looked pretty decent on a coupld of long throws today. I believe he'll burn some people with the long ball once he and the receivers get more in sync. With him getting 90% of the snaps in practice it can only help their rythm.

I am not talking about just Clausen. The o-line needs to get healthy and get an attitude if Fulmer/Sanders are going to insist on trying to run out of the I formation. We are not physical enough to do that. You saw today that we are much better running out of the spread formations and letting Riggs make plays.

I put a lot of blame on the recievers. Still not playing near as well as they should. The coaches need to find a way to get those guys involved and in a rhythm. We can't seem to find our groove.

DBs have played well this year but there were several busted coverages today that a good QB would have made us pay for.

I agree on the Oline.

I do believe our problem with the entire offense has to do with how poorly we've thrown the ball up to the last half of the LSU game.

The defenses haven't been giving us much downfield because our receivers couldn't catch a cold past the 15 yard mark.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I believe the alternating of QBs has had the entire passing game out of sync. If we'll stick with Rick I believe that will change.

I believe today's effort would beat GA. I'm not sure if today's effort would beat Bama though. Either they're very good or Florida's playing like the Vols in the first half of the LSU game.

I believe Fl comes back and makes a game of it.

Wow, I don't believe today's effort beats Georgia. A good team doesn't have 3 turnovers and miss as many tackles as Ole Miss did today.

Football's a strange game Freak.

I don't think anyone would say Ark. is better than Florida, yet they took bama to the wire last week.

I do believe that if we have one great problem that has been a real trademark of our program, it is that we so often play up or down to the competition. That's the one knock I have on our coaching staff. I believe that is more an idication of poor motivation than anything.

I believe GA could beat us, but I believe we have the talent on D to smother them. If the O can score 21 I believe we take it.

Just saying that I don't believe we would have beaten UGA today with the way we played.

OldVol, you are right, anything can happen. If our offense can find some sort of rhythm and we don't give the ball away we will be hard to beat. Otherwise, if we drop balls and hurt ourselves with penalites, we will have a hard time beating a top 25 team.

The one thing I'd like to see is a complete game.

I can't remember the last time we came out and pounded it for 4 quarters.

We'll need a good effort for the Dawgs, but it's on THE HILL.

Plus, the Davii are no longer there. I still get queazy when I think about that last play of the half 2 years ago.

I agree about 4 quarters. We had a chance to really blow that game open and give ourselves some moementum, but refused to do it.

back on topic, the score is now 21-10 and USC has the ball with just under 11:00 to play in the 3rd quarter. A LOT of football left.

USC is starting to move the ball at will.

ASU's QB just threw one of the worst interceptions I have ever seen. Telegraphed it, big time.

USC will probably come back and win it but it's a shame that this is the best team they'll play all year.

It just isn't fair for them to have a cake walk to the Rose Bowl, regardless of how good they may be.

I'm really crossing my fingers for ASU on this one. They had a great break with the fumble and then their QB threw it away after having a ton of time to find an open receiver.

It is a shame that their scedule is easy, but they have won me over a little this year. They just beat people's brains in. They have the offense that I want us to have. :biggrin2:
