Hart needs to go ahead and do what he's going to do, this is getting embarrassing, all these rumors swirling around. We are better than that.

Yes, I hate to see him twisting around like this. Very sad. Derek deserves better than this treatment. We cant even fire someone right.

To keep things in perspective - If you can earn a modest average annual return of 6% on 5 million dollars, that equates to $25,000 per month forever. Without depleting the principle. Of course that doesn't consider taxes, but it also doesn't consider the likelyhood of doing better than 6% a year over the long run.

He's getting compensated for the stress.

I like Dooley, UT had the game in hand, and the DBs starting breaking down again. I don't know enough about 3-4 and how much these kids can soak up in a season, but there was a lot of coverage breakdown in the 2nd half. How did the offense go from owning their defense to overthrows, droped passes, sacks etc... It all looks and feels strange to me.

CDD is a good man, and I hope the UT fan base can show a little class if/when he is let go.

That's because one coaching staff made in game adjustments and the other one did what they always do. Fail.

Don't misunderstand... I feel without a doubt that Dooley needs to go ASAP.

If I'm Hart, I go ahead and announce the fact that Dooley will not be retained at season's end. Go ahead and let the fan-base, players, recruits etc. all know that they are doing their due diligence to hire his successor.

If this is what Hart is doing right now, but intentionally leaving Dooley to believe he is not, I think that is pretty low. In fact this whole thing could end up being a train wreck for Hart when it's all said and done.

I for one think that Dooley should just resign and give up his buyout. He point blank lied to us. He said that this would be a fun team to watch. Negatory. This has been nothing short of agonizing to watch.

Hurting recruiting

Hurt recruiting? Oh no, we may move to last in SEC in recruiting (almost there already), may have to settle for 2 ** recuits (already are). Unless we get the NCAA back on us, it can't get any worse. This is what it use to feel like to be a Vandy fan

Easy to tell someone else they need to give up money

I feel bad for Dooley personally. Anytime anyone loses a job it is stressful obviously. When it's done in public, it's even worse. However, that is why those coaches get a golden parachute. It still sucks for the wife and kids though having to hear about their dad/husband losing his job. I wouldn't wish that stress on anyone.

This isn't Hart's first rodeo. I suspect he's not doing this blindfolded throwing darts at a dartboard. Again, this is Hart not Mike Hamilton here.

Dooley said today in presser that this was very hard on his children so for you gentlemen that have children can u not just say something like this year has been bad and please stop the personal attacks and nasty remarks. You sound like middle schoolers. Class, that's all or no one will come here and I don't blame them.

Would you walk away from 5 million dollars? Ok then.

Would I lie and say it was going to be a fun team to watch? What part have you enjoyed? I guess all those records that we managed to set made up for it. Like giving up 100+ more yards than we have ever given up. To Troy. Sorry I dont feel a bit sorry for him. I realize its not feasible that he would resign and no take his buyout. Hes not stupid. Although hes a liar on the part of it being a fun team to watch.

Would you hand over a $5million dollar lottery ticket? I think not. Dooley will keep the money. He knows he'll hardly ever be a HC on this level again. You never turn your back on money lying on the table.
