Really?
Do we not have more important things to discuss?
there's irony here that I don't think the black community has caught on to just yet
they demand the exclusive right to use a word that has been deemed harmful, racist, bigoted, and so on against each other. As if that somehow makes it right or any less harmful, racist and bigoted.
Its like a Jew calling a Jew a name or telling a joke in fun and no one is gonna be offended. Let a German tell the same joke or use a disparaging name and people will be upset. Its like if you have a family member and you joke on him its cool. Let someone else joke on them and you are upset. Its the same thing. I don't say it much but I'm Black and I can. When a White person does it it a different connotation. Thats how things are. People try to make the point you are trying but it is bad argument. There are alot of double standards in the world. I don't know why a White person cares or wants to say it no matter what Black people say.
So if I were to type a post where I use the n-word, or dropped a joke about Jews, or used "cracker" in a negative connotation, would the mods have to inquire as to my ethnicity before deleting the post and/or banning me?
I understand where you are coming from, but it doesn't change the fact that there is a double standard at play. Ignorance is ignorance. I am equally offended by the n-word no matter who is saying it.
