Its a Wonderful Life......Sequel.

Maybe the sequel can avoid producing one of the biggest unresolved plot points in the history of cinema.

I really despise "It's a Wonderful Life."

What's that? I've only seen it once, and honestly I think it's incredibly overrated.

The old man gets away with stealing $8,000, and no one mentions it. Everyone's like "Hey, we're going to pitch in some money to help George Bailey out, so who cares that none of this would be necessary if the greedy old guy didn't commit a felony?"

Saturday Night Live once tied up that loose end and showed the alternate ending.

I could maybe deal with a remake. But what in the world is supposed to be in a sequel to a movie where a guy learns the meaning of life?

I heard it was the opposite. George's son is a terrible person, and the look back would be how much better things would be without him.

The original It's a Wonderful Life was a great flick that still shows a very good slice of American. No sequel is needed. Ever. If one is done, it will fail miserably.

He got away with it, but that isn't necessarily a plot hole. That wasn't the point of the movie. As far as they all know, the money was just lost. They raised enough to help George, so to them it doesn't matter where that money is.

I love that movie. My wife and I watch it every Christmas Eve.

It's not a plot hole, as such, in that it isn't an error, and the event itself is critical to the story. It is simply a giant plot point that is discarded and never resolved.

For me, this isn't the kind of movie that I hate and can't understand why others enjoy it. I totally get why people like it. Heck, I can appreciate the fact that Jimmy Stewart gives a fabulous performance. I simply think it's annoyingly sentimental, and has become a Christmas classic despite the fact that Christmas is 100% irrelevant to the story. It could have been set at any other time of year and the story would have lacked for nothing.
