What were dealing with is not talent as much as it is trust. Trusting each other, the coaches, the fans to stick around and the process. Anyway, that's how I see it.

On paper UT should win 7-8 games by recruiting rankings....

They definitely have more "stars" than Mizzou....

The OL is the most over-hyped unit I can remember in quite a while.... saw some boys getting tossed by 2 and 3 star Mizzou DL tonight....

I roll my eyes every time I hear our O-line vaunted like they are irreplaceable.

I realize they have a gazillion starts between them. But, these are still CDD guys.

Our line has not "dominated" (as in firing off & pushing the opposing D 5 yards downfield) in ANY GAME I've watched this year. (And I've only missed 1 in person)

I'm sorry, but when AP, WKU, & USA all get regular pressure, you are NOT an elite O-line. No way.

Improvement by the defense, off line, better leadership by the upperclassmen, and better playcalling is what i hope to see.

The only WR worth a damn is North and the O line is overrated. Butch has no tools in the shed. The most productive players on this team(North, Sutton, Vereen) are freshman.

He took spurrier to the wire last year after being down 21-7 at half so yes there is a chance dooley could have beaten him in neyland. Dooley took LSU to the wire in BR...I repeat in BR!!!...that's something to say.

So many were so busy praying we get Gruden last year they didn't see all the hard fought games last year. So yes the OL was better last year and why aren't they this yr???...cause we have the f'n best dang coaching staff in the country. That means our OL our DL, our QBS, our RBs our WRS etxc should be better. And they haven't done jack other than beat SC when their clutch starting QB got hurt.

CBJ and staff needs to start getting the job done And earning their pay ASAP. And Hart better start too cause this is TN football.

Dobbs, to me, did well enough for a road game as a freshman tonight. As many have said, our OL is overrated. Sure they may be giving up the least sacks in the league but that doesnt make them the best. They have no push up front.

The seniors quit on this team after half time at Bama. Lets not kid ourselves. They knew if they couldnt even keep it close with Bama, then who cares about an upstart Mizzou or Auburn team. They knew the fans wanted Bama and they couldnt deliver even a contest out of it.

Neal needs to be benched behind Lane. The guy just doesnt have it to be a D1 back in the SEC. Lane has his troubles with ball handling, but at this point, id rather take my chances with getting more yards per carry out of Lane with a fumble proned hand, vs little to no forward progress.

No need to talk about the defense, we know its bad, really. The offense had many opportunities tonight considering the yardage we put up.
I like coach Jones but I do think he needs to evaluate his staff soon and find out who is in it for the long haul or just looking for that next opportunity somewhere else. So far, im not a fan of Jancek. The tackling is poor at best and they can never seem to get any push off the line. When was the last time anyone can remember this defense getting a sack???

He was recruited by Jay Graham a UT football player turned coached hired by Dooley, but "let go" by CBJ yadda yadda yadda...

CBJ doesn't have anywhere near all the distractions that dooley had to deal with in his first year here and CBJ is getting pd way more so he needs to start figuring it out..now!

Doesn't matter if he was hired by Dooley. North is a Butch recruit. Like it or not Butch deserves the same amount if time Dooley had at least. Yeah I mean CBJ doesn't have to deal with attrition, Dooleys total lack of coaching up players, starting a lot of young players and the toughest schedule UT has ever had right? Yeah you're right on the money :ermm:

Do u remember Dooleys first yr?? At all?? He had a team full of players with issues, had to take over after what Kiffin left, had an AD on his last leg, had to finish building the new facilities CBJ got to move right into first, etc etc. Dooley had a lot of young players he had to start too...remember he only had simms and bray to start the season. 2 QBS that were just as new on campus as he was. When was the last time this board had a thread about how f'd up the Athletic Dept was??? Huh??? Tell me bud??? What's right on the money is the CBJ has walked into a cake walk compared to what dooley walked into and dooley had a tough schedule to deal with 1st year too. And on top of it CBJ is making 3 mil a year and dooley made 1.7ish. 3 mil is put up or shut up money my friend so CBJ needs to stop with all these childish marketing brick by brick and inch patches crap and get the job done.... ASAP.
