It's Dooley's players

Doesn't matter if he was hired by Dooley. North is a Butch recruit. Like it or not Butch deserves the same amount if time Dooley had at least. Yeah I mean CBJ doesn't have to deal with attrition, Dooleys total lack of coaching up players, starting a lot of young players and the toughest schedule UT has ever had right? Yeah you're right on the money :ermm:

Never said the guy doesn't deserve it or more as I don't think 3 yrs is enough but he needs to show he is worth. He's getting out coached. He is an SEC neophyte that looks lost as heck out there wondering what to do. He has the players to win just doesn't have them ready and that's a coaching issue.

Meanwhile, Tyler Bray is on an undefeated Chief's team that might go to the SuperBowl. How humiliating would it be to see Bray get a ring before UT will in the next decade?

Do u remember Dooleys first yr?? At all?? He had a team full of players with issues, had to take over after what Kiffin left, had an AD on his last leg, had to finish building the new facilities CBJ got to move right into first, etc etc. Dooley had a lot of young players he had to start too...remember he only had simms and bray to start the season. 2 QBS that were just as new on campus as he was. When was the last time this board had a thread about how f'd up the Athletic Dept was??? Huh??? Tell me bud??? What's right on the money is the CBJ has walked into a cake walk compared to what dooley walked into and dooley had a tough schedule to deal with 1st year too. And on top of it CBJ is making 3 mil a year and dooley made 1.7ish. 3 mil is put up or shut up money my friend so CBJ needs to stop with all these childish marketing brick by brick and inch patches crap and get the job done.... ASAP.

So tell me did Dooley have to deal with the toughest schedule in UTs history? I see you didn't comment on that. We still have Hart, our AD department is still screwed up, so cannot use that excuse. So we have been beaten by Oregon, Alabama and Mizzou. All top 10 teams, did you really expect CBJ to do any better? Especially losing his starting QB and then starting a true freshman who had thrown a total of 12 passes. Wow man you really are one of those unrealistic fans who expect way too much. Tell ya what, if after 3 years CBJ is still stinking it up, the you can whine like you lost your ninnie.

Well he lost in OT to the team we just got spanked by 2nite so....

With the offensive talent Dooley had, he would have beaten Mizzou by at least 3 TDs. If Jones had CP, Hunter, Rogers and Rivera this game would have been much different.

Don't act like there is no talent on this team

Every player on the Oline was heavily recruited by every major program

This all comes down to heart, having the will to win, and coaching

Count, ive been preaching this since the beginning of the season. ALL of the recruits on this team were heavily recruited, but yet, we dont have talent? It's laughable.

You and Count are hilarious. Still defending an idiot that dug our program in a massive hole, yet hate on the guy dealing with his garbage recruiting. What made you guys love Doofus and hate Butch? Hell if Butch turns out to be a below-average coach he's still an improvement over that guy. At least he can recruit.

We've got talent. That talent has poor habits and a loser's mentality. Butch is trying to change it, but it takes time. Also, those plucky overachieving Mizzou players have been in the same system their entire careers. They haven't had to deal with three different systems and three different coaching staffs. It isnt just about the talent. It is also about understanding your system inside and out. Our players aren't to that point yet. I will agree that the team seemed poorly prepared for the game (and that is a coaching thing), but if this was CBJ's 3rd year on the job, I think this team would have reacted to the adversity in a completely different manner because they would have a different mentallity instilled in them and they would have a Jedi level of comprehension of their system.

When Dooley was here, the excuse on this board was "it's Fulmer's players."

Exactly. People should be seeing a pattern by now. In the meantime other teams seem to find a way to win more games than they did after making coaching changes with the crap coaches players.

This program suffers from the perfect storm....CPF/CLK/CDD.

But..if we are Resilient, and dedicated to building the program up, Brick by Brick.... we shall return to rule the SEC.

A coach can only do so much with the player's he's dealt, coaches don't play, players do.....we need new players

I am tired of hearing this BS with Dooleys first year, he had Jones, Moore and Stocker, Moore and Stocker are still in the NFL, plus Hunter and Rogers who are playing in the NFL, that was some talented receivers.

This year most exp receivers is a former walk on and former RB. Believe it or not it really helps a QB to have some exp around him and especially if they are play makers

Malzahn seems to be doing just fine in his first season with Chizik's players as Auburn will likely be ranked in the top 10 in the polls this week. They were 0-8 in conference play last season.

Take a glance at their recruiting classes and retention the last few seasons. Also, Malzahn's offense isn't a complete overhaul to what they were running the last three years.

If those are keys to success, then why did Southern Cal lose more games with Kiffin as HC in a little more than 3 seasons than Carroll lost in 8 seasons, despite having a top 10 recruiting class every year from 2002 to 2011?

Because Malzahn recruited most of Auburns players on offense to run his scheme. It would be like Butch being OC and recruiter under Dooley, leaving for a year, and then returning as HC. They wouldve been the players he recruited and coached as our OC.

He took spurrier to the wire last year after being down 21-7 at half so yes there is a chance dooley could have beaten him in neyland. Dooley took LSU to the wire in BR...I repeat in BR!!!...that's something to say.

So many were so busy praying we get Gruden last year they didn't see all the hard fought games last year. So yes the OL was better last year and why aren't they this yr???...cause we have the f'n best dang coaching staff in the country. That means our OL our DL, our QBS, our RBs our WRS etxc should be better. And they haven't done jack other than beat SC when their clutch starting QB got hurt.

CBJ and staff needs to start getting the job done And earning their pay ASAP. And Hart better start too cause this is TN football.
