It's fine to fake winning a MOH now

I dunno.... should lying be against the law? With today's information on demand anyone sorry enough to lie about their military record will ruin their reputation instantly.

This one actually pisses me off more than Obamacare. I actually think Roberts just gave Romney a big shot in the arm headed into Nov. but this ruling is deplorable!

this is (was) very limited in its scope. The blanket "all lies should be ok" doesn't really fit. I think an actual MOH winner should bring suit for slander and include the families of those that did not return from their mission.

Seriously? Why does this need to be a crime?

That's ridiculous.

Is it slander when someone is trying to boost their credit by lying about their service record, or lack there of?

If someone says they raised 3 children and put them through college and it turns out they didn't is that slander to all the honorable parents out there that did? Should that be crime?

I feel like this is one of those cases that should be judged in the court of public opinion.
