It's good too see how much attention CC is bringing to the offense. Just saw a UT blurb on Southern Sports Report about the Tennessee Football Team. Most of it revolved around the offense and it was really good to see someone who is really concerned about doing it right. That is what Coach C is bring to the offense and I think it will pay big dividends before the year is out. Thanks alot for coming back to Tennessee, Coach Cut.

The most positive info so far is that the projected starting OL now has no members above 318 pounds. The line last year averaged 332 pounds.

I would never claim to be an expert on the nuances of offensive line play, but I never figured out what Jimmy Ray Stevens was trying to do. He had us using blocking schemes suited to quick linemen like the Denver Broncos, but then ran huge guys out onto the field. :dunno:

I would feel better if we would have got the extra practice in from the bowl game with DC. They had a lot to learn and I hope the boys put in some work over the summer. Only time will tell, can the Cal game come any sooner. The next few weeks of practice reports will be pretty grey IMO.
