DISCLAIMER: I did not write this, this came from a College Football Weekly BOLD SEC PREDICTION article written by journalist Jim Wright.
THE SEC WEST
Alabama (9-3) Overall (6-2) SEC, The Tide will be a strong team in 2011 but not quite strong enough to run the table. The three losses will be Penn State, Tennessee, and LSU.
Arkansas (7-5) Overall (4-4) SEC, It's gonna be a little bit of a rough season in Hog Country as the Razorbacks adjust to life without Mr. Mallett. Their five losses include, Alabama, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Tennessee, and LSU.
Auburn (6-6) Overall (3-5) SEC, Hello Hangover!!! No Cam Newton, no Nick Fairley, the hype is gone and it may be time to rebuild a little. The wins will still be exciting but the losses will conquer and Mr. Chizik stays off of a hot seat, afterall, he just did win a national title. Their six losses include, Mississippi State, Clemson, South Carolina, Arkansas, LSU, and Alabama.
Ole Miss (5-7) Overall (2-6) SEC, Boy, things just don't get easy down there on The Grove do they? Ole Miss struggles again after not recruiting anyone with tons of talent. Their marginal seven losses in a season include, BYU, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, and Mississippi State.
Mississippi State (8-4) Overall (4-4) SEC, C'mon Dan, you can do better. This just won't be the top notch year for Mississippi State that everyone has been waiting for but next year will be the time. The Bulldogs are just building up to it, watch out in 2012. The four losses include, LSU, South Carolina, Alabama, and Arkansas.
LSU (11-1) Overall (8-0) SEC, Top of the helm, LSU will complete the run and win the Wild West. The mad hatter is taking the Tigers to the dome in December and Bayou Pride will be on display in Atlanta. Their one dismay will be in the season opener when Oregon out hustles them.
THE SEC EAST
Georgia (5-7) Overall (3-5) SEC, Dream Team? Dream Team? Nope, goodbye Mr. Richt. The tenure has lasted a little too long for that party they called Athens and they will wave goodbye after this year. It'll be a mediocre season and the fans will cry wolf. Richt leaves and Georgia gets a young new exciting coach to step in. The horrid seven losses include, Boise State, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech.
Florida (6-6) Overall (3-5) SEC, Will Muschamp is a new coach down in the sunshine state. Give him a break, he'll get things right and before long the Gators will be back chomping on SEC competition. The six losses include, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, South Carolina, and Florida State.
Kentucky (5-7) Overall (1-7) SEC, Joker Phillips, you are a joker. Kentucky needs a coach that can actually bring their morale up and help them play to the best of their ability, that's all I'm saying. The seven losses include, Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Tennessee.
Vanderbilt (3-9) Overall (0-8) SEC, Wow!! I really had higher expectations but guess not. Nashville is a great town, just not a great football team. Maybe, Texas A&M can replace them in the SEC. Vanderbilt, take a tip, stick to basketball. The plagued schedule includes losses from, UCONN, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
South Carolina (11-1) Overall (7-1) SEC, The Ole Ball Coach has got these Gamecocks rolling, but not so fast my friend, they run into a trap game and get beat by the Volunteers up on Rocky Top.
Tennessee (11-1) Overall (7-1) SEC, A lot of people say wait until 2012 to see the Vols excel again and a lot of people will see this and think I'm on something serious, but trust in me my friends, Tennessee rolls this year with a fury behind the arm of Mr. Bray. The one loss includes ever so tough LSU but they get another chance in the dome in an anticipated rematch.
SEC CHAMPIONSHIP
Tennessee VS LSU, what an anticipated rematch we will have here in December, not only including the loss to LSU earlier in the 2011 season but also the screw job Tennessee got down in Baton Rouge in 2010. Redemption will be sweet as Dooley and his Big Orange Crush squeak it out in Atlanta by a touchdown.
