Had a great Easter weekend, spending most of it out on the lake. The weather has been beautiful, the flowers are in bloom, and people are in good spirits.

A wise older physician in Florida warned me a couple of years ago about one of the hazards of living in such a warm climate. He said that if you aren't careful, years slip by without seasons. Winter and the ensuing spring gives us all a chance to reflect on the previous year and to experience a "rebirth" of sorts.

Here's to us all as we enjoy God's blessings of nature. Happy Easter, and Peace.

We had about 3 weeks of Spring and have now seemingly moved into the early stages the blast furnace that we call Summer around here. It's been 90 degrees here the last 3 days and we aren't even to May yet.

It's definitely springtime in the Nashville area. Lots of dogwoods, azaleas, tulips and iris in bloom. The pollen is thick on the ground. I watched a bumble bee for about 10 minutes yesterday.

Ok now that im sufficiently homesick :p ....out here on the plains its in the lower 90's and 25 mph winds. I guess Oklahoma is ok but it sure isn't dogwoods and redbuds like Tennessee, I sure do miss the hills and the color green. Everything here even in wetter times is beige, lol even the houses its the color of choice it seems. Hope everyone's family is well and that ya'll had a peaceful happy Easter.

I agree with you OWB after reading about it.

People can deny it and shrug it off all they want. But when the top NASA guy says it's happening and we have about 10 years to start reversing it before most is lost, it's a problem.

The Bush Administration is covering this up. They don't want you to hear about it. They took that guys report and changed the words around trying to make it seem like a "maybe" instead of something that's certain.

The Bush administration’s war on science has prevented the American public from learning all the facts about global warming, according to climate researchers working for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and a scientist from the US Geological Survey. The scientists say that the administration has edited their reports and web sites to remove mention of global warming and rebuked them for responding to policy questions on the subject. They say that in the summer of 2004, policy was changed so that all media requests would have to be signed off by a Bush administration official.

Ive heard in church they say in the last days an antiChrist will come and have the answer to all problems, cure all woes. Even the elect will be fooled and almost all will proclaim him the messiah. My point is this: When you consider war and rumors of war, famine, plagues, economic problems, environmental problems, disaters like Katrina and the tidal wave in indonesia....How far removed are we from a single individual rising in the world who has the cure to all problems taking over and fixing everything? Read your bibles my friends the beast may not be far away. I know this sounds extremist and I only type this cause I love all ya'll and feel led.

Yeah...spring is great.

Bugs, tree sap falling on my car, more damn bugs, Overly Fat women wearing spandex, even more damn bugs, I have leather seats so it turns my seat into a really soft hot plate. I somehow end up standing in line somewhere next to the one guy in the area who refuses to wear deodorant. Not to mention, getting scorched if I stand outside without a hat on for more than 20 minutes.

...Did I mention the bugs yet?

Yep, it's been beautiful here over the past few weeks...when storms have not been blowing through.

Couldn't have asked for a nicer Easter weekend, though.
