It's just rooting for a Florida loss. This is how I justify hoping Bammer wins today. Besides, UT/UF has more or less replaced the third Saturday as our biggest rivalry, I feel. I think we HAVE to root for the Tide today, do we not? Rooting for a Bama loss is rooting for a tougher road for the Vols. Anyone agree?

I'll be pulling for a UF loss today because it is in the best interest of our Vols, but I disagree about the crocks replacing bammer as our #1 rival.

fair enough, but it seems year after year now, UF is looked at as the more pivotal game, and ever since a guy named squirrier, UF is definately the team we love to hate the most, IMO.:thumbsup:

In recent years it has definitely been a more intense rivalry, I'll give you that. I guess I'm just a traditionalist lol.

i don't know what to cheer for... but bama is, was, and always will be our number one rival. i can only pull for bama over nutter dame.

Anyone notice how florida copied our VOL walk and running through the T?

They now have the "gator walk" and run through a UF to start the game. Original.

Leave it to the tradion-less johnnie come lately gators to copy our traditions.

i have posted elswhere on site today, but just feel all you vol fans need to hear from me on birthday 55, that gives me 50 years as vol fan, i spent most of those years despising bama (with some hidden admiration), but nothing can rival my dislike of gators, and as posted elsewhere , is anybody else as tired as i am of hearing all the urban legend bs. i still go back to the called back int against the gators, it might take me years to recover from that play, same as gaffney "completion", which was not. sorry for the rant, but when your 55, what the hell. go vols i cant wait for georgia.

actually alot of teams do the "vol walk" sort of thing. it's not just us that does it.

Yeah, CUM started it this year. I don't have a problem with it because it isn't really a huge tradition most places. It is good fan interraction. There is the Vol Walk, the Gator Walk, the Dawg Walk, the Tiger Walk. Now running through the UF is borderline plagerism. Of course, Auburn runs through an A.

i tell you what sucks...Bama. Even when you root for them, they still find a way to piss you off by losing.
