It's that time again that I am thinking of some improvements for the site. I have a few things that I plan on doing already, however, as always I welcome any feedback or suggestions from you all of things that could make VolNation more enjoyable. Please use this thread to post any ideas/suggestions that you may have.

My first item will be to change the logo (removing Gerald Riggs) from the header of the main page and the board. I will also be adding some more arcade games.

See who is in a thread? Are we going to send the records to homeland security? Sounds a little big brotherish.

Also, you can see who is online on the home page.

Actually, I think this is just about the most user-friendly board I have ever used. If it ain't broke ...

I agree. This site is the best. We can't make it too complicated or we'll drive off the Bammers, Dawgs, and Gators.....we HAVE to have someone to poke fun at.

get gerald riggs off the top??? NOW why would you want to do something like that??? haha nvm... who you going to change riggs with? I think you should get players from everysport all the way across... that would be sweet..

try consolidating or locking mulitible threads with the same subject. When they go unpunished they keep creating the same old threads over and over. I cant count how many ainge or qb threads we have.

point being??????? Wait about 2 more months, when everyone is craving football and we are at each others throats cause half of us like ainge and half like crompton, that will be fun..

Pearl in that header looks like he's about to turn green and rip his suit off..What ever changes are made, Im sure they will be pretty cool. :victory:

I like the site and the format. It is very user friendly and is obviously the result of a lot of hard work and planning.

That being said, I think it might be useful to consider splitting the volboard forum by sport, maybe having a football board, a basketball board, and an "other sports" board. It would group threads together a little better by subject and would certainly make searching for old threads easier.

All in all, though, nice job. I have really enjoyed this site for the short time I've been a member!

Plus, we'd have to learn German in order to ask permission to use it.

I may consider adding back the "who is looking at a thread" feature but I had to disable it during football season since it creates extra load on the server. Every little bit helps during peak times. Also, you can tell who is on the board from the main page at volnation.com on the left or the main forum page at the bottom. Thanks for the feedback.

That is always the goal but it's more difficult then it sounds. And then people will argue about how their thread is different. We will do our best though. Thanks for the feedback.

I am thinkin of at least using something from football, basketball, and lady vols. I might even throw in baseball.

I temporarily removed that since there just haven't really been any articles written in the past month or so (Christmas break maybe?)

It's a great board already. I think if all the mod's started more topics it would be even better since they are pretty much abreast as to what is going on, especially since football is out of season. Someone needs to be sure game threads are started for basketball as well.
