And we are talking about the playoffs in the football forum. Breathe it in because crazy stuff is happening

Talked to another UT fan last night for a bit while our kids were getting ready and we agreed this is fun again. I really don't feel the stress I used to and maybe am able to enjoy it a bit more than I did. Part of that is likely old age but I also realize how fleeting this can be. The number of games we lost in the 90s while I was in college (a bit over 4yrs) wouldn't fill 2 hands and I guess I figured it was just going to go on forever. But it's back and much appreciated

I guess the message from a rambling, middle aged, lifelong UT fan is to soak it in as Heupel tells his players. It's special and can disappear before you realize what's happening

It’s surreal. It feels normal, like we’ve been here before and I remember how it used to be. While at the same time I’m just in disbelief at what’s taking place.

I was 38 when we won it all in '98. When we reached that pinnacle, I told myself that I'd enjoy UT football going forward regardless and not stress out over results. I lied to myself. With a few exceptions, these past 15 years have been brutal. Every morning I wake up, I have to pinch myself to actually believe what's currently happening. And the great thing is, I truly/honestly believe we may be able to sustain this type of success over the next few years without falling back into the abyss of football mediocrity.

And how nice it is to just look at all the Gators lifeless faces at work!
