This team has been a lightening rod for criticism and abuse, but let's look at the accomplishments:

-Second most number of wins in school history (27)

-Beat the #1 and #2 teams in the country

-Best of all, Sweet 16 number 6 in school history and 3 in 4 years.

Whatever happens next week, I hope that what this team has done will be respected and looked back fondly in the future.

As it stands for now, I much prefer Georgia Tech. I've never thought we play the Thad Matta high screen offense very well and today we were ok, but suspect, at times. The superior personel won it for us today, but that wouldn't be the case against Ohio State. GA Techmay have more raw talent, but are madly inconsistant and I would take my chances with them. At this point, though, a Sweet 16 game will always be tough, whomever you play.

On New Year's day, I was expecting we'd have 10 more losses. Boy was I wrong about this team.

What I love is the focus and intensity that the seniors displayed since that time. No more standing around and watching Tyler. This team showed some great character this year and I was proud of them.

Brian Williams' play after the arrests and subsequent suspension has been nothing short of a complete turnaround. He was huge today with 8 pts, 12 rebs, and 2 assists!!!

Brian Williams has really impressed me lately. He'll miss the occassional easy bucket but for him only playing basketball for a few years, he has come along nicely. I for one will be glad to have him back next season!

Yes, despite all of the adversity, what this team has done this year is remarkable. If I could arrange it, I'd treat them all to a nice steak dinner. They don't play the prettiest ball, but they get it done time after time. Thanks, Vols and thanks, Bruce! Go out and get another win next weekend!!!:rock::::good!::good!:

proud to be a Vol watching this team, as much as they make me sweat/punch a wall. Great job Pearl and the boys!

You're right, but it's lightning rod.
Go Vols!
