It's time to see how much rebuilding Butch Jones has done

This year, I just want to see sound coaching, a team that improves every week, and never quits fighting. Better talent is on the way.

Personally, I don't think the question is "how much was done?" but rather "how much remains to be done?" No one that has watched the last 8 months can doubt that a lot has been done. But, we won't really know how much remains to be done for another 4 months.

I hope that the part that isn't fixed yet is small. GO BIG ORANGE!

It really is just a matter of recruiting now. While we do have some talent on this roster, I think very few would argue that it's not at the level we need to truly compete for the SEC. Coach Jones is going to need about 2 or 3 solid top 5 or at least top 10 recruiting classes to start competing with the Alabama's and the Florida's of the world.

Agree with the points made in the last 2 posts. I think this pretty well sums up the sutuation.
We have talent, but not elite or developed enough in multiple spots, and one would think we *should have depth, but due to some 4*'s from recruiting classes past not panning out, we don't have enough depth to go toe to toe with the power in the SEC week after week. We have enough we may surprise some people, or hopefully some team this year. We have enough we could have a "confidence or momentum building loss" or 2. But not enough to beat multiple elite teams this year. I do believe that will improve under Jones from what I've seen so far from him. I also think we are physically and aerobically in getter shape to compete for 60min.

So, Go Big Orange! Let's "Give our all for Tennessee" Saturdays to come!

I just want to see four quarters of good old-fashioned Volunteer football during a single game. I believe we will this year, and I believe we'll see it more than once.

till we get past the chumps.
Until the Oregon game and beyond we will still be clueless.

You won't know until we hit the meat of the schedule

These first two games will fill people with false hope

I don't disagree, but you were a blind Dooley supporter who couldn't understand why the most of us had little faith last year. Now, you are making a strong push for resident curmudgeon. What changed?

At this point, we just need big signs of improvement, especially in game coaching, recruiting, and bring a winning attitude to the table. The later 2 are inspiring, can't wait to see in game coaching improvement...soon
