We have in fact recruited better than them the last four years on average.

But quick...someone tell Uga and Florida that, because they both have even more talent than us! (and for the slower types on here, Mizzou beat them both).

Could it be that (a) Pinkel is a good coach, (b) playing a lot of seniors and juniors that have (c) been in his system for a number of years and (d) have a lot to play for right now?

Hmmm....can't win em all. A loss is a loss, who cares about the margin.

Enough about Mizzou....bring on Auburn!

They have 25 or so Fr and Sophs in their 2 deep. They may be good for a while.

Pinkel is a good coach. he has been there for what..12 seasons? You don't get to hang around for 12 seasons without being a good coach.

Recruiting rankings and talent that is on the field are two completely different things.......its not a hard concept to understand.

You are right! Play the whip our butts card or the game experience card, or the refs card. Fans will always complain no matter what the record is and there will always be a counter argument laying in wait.

The Ref did provide a pick for Mizzou and it tricked 5 of the defenders to take the worst possible angles...

Recruiting rankings don't reveal the talent situation. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Where did I say that it did? That's what items (b) and (c) are about and is about half the point I am trying to make. The other half being that Pinkel is a good coach (Mizzou was often in the top 10 the last 6 years) and that they have a lot to play for.

I think it's funny that just last week Mizzou was over-rated, not as talented as UT, and had UT played Mizzou's schedule UT would be ranked.

Fast forward a week later and somehow they are a legitimate top 10 team, UT isn't as talented, and has no depth.

So only after a team beats UT do they become good?

Look at our classes from the last 4 years and count how many recruits we signed that are no longer on the team. That is part of our problem too.

^This. We have a converted TE/OT as a DL who plays with a lot of passion but had led feet. We have DE's who can't pass rush, defend the run, or keep contain. We have 1 talented CB, and one CB who stays in the Burned Unit. Our LB's can't cover and are crazy slow. On top of that we have a bunch of walk-ons in our 2 deep. Next year we will be A LOT more talented and have more depth.

Oh, so they had a good coach? That explains it!

So, I guess all we need is to make sure that we always play less talented teams with bad coaches who don't have any seniors or juniors on their roster (in addition to all the freshmen and sophomores they were playing). Otherwise, I guess we shouldn't expect anything other than a blowout loss. Sounds reasonable.

Hey look kids - this is what we call "hypocrisy":

We were not Georgia's punching bag. We went toe to toe. They were fortunate to escape with a win.

And you have to think all these tough games are making men of our young players. IMO that has already started to pay off and will definitely do so down the road.

Most of the recruits from the last 4 years are no longer on the team. Do some more research.

List those that arent so we dont have to. Thanks in advance. Still talent on this roster. Just hasnt been coached well in 3 years and now in a different system. Defense is in its 3rd system basically though the seniors said at the beginning of the year it was a lot like the Wilcox system.

LOL! My second post didn't say anything about margin of victory...it just says we were not Georgia's "punching bag".

Do you disagree with that? If so, why?

And yes...UGa was a LOSS and that SUCKS! Never said it didn't.
