I don't know about that, I believe FL has beaten every team they've played this year, are currently ranked #9, they have reason to believe, we on the other hand, going into FL, had only posted one W, had the crap kicked out of us by teams such as GS, we'll see. Of course, there were a lot of idiots (lots of them on this board) that predicted a big win, an upset, this was our year when we went calling in Florida, but hey, don't let facts and history get in the way.

Well, Butch got 5 years. Look, I don't know if Pruitt is the answer, but I do know I have no taste for another coaching change. Hard to imagine who we could get if we fire the guy at this point. It would almost have to be Fulmer by default.

We're still paying butch. Hell, we might still be on the hook with Dooley. Not sure how many ex coaches we can afford to have on the payroll and still have the money to get a proven head coach to take the job. About the only guy I think of would be Freeze. Not sure how much he's making at Liberty, but he or someone from a smaller program would be about all we could afford.

Won't lie...I'd take Freeze right now. I'd rather stay on probation the next 10 years and win than continue on in this never ending hellish football loop we're stuck in.

Thanks prognosticator. It's truly a unique talent that you have to be able to tell if a coach will be successful in his 2nd season. Coach Majors record his first 3 years at Tennessee agrees with your post

Pruitt is no Coach Majors and should never be compared with him. Majors also had a national title under his belt as a head coach before he came to Tennessee. And from what I've seen he has no where near the passion Majors had when he was on the sidelines. I'd be happy at this if Pruitt had the passion that Dooley and Butch had when they were here.

1) Getting better may mean a below average OL still.
Perine is a sloth. Davis acts lazy and fumbles.

2) Better teams will bring the house. He's a statue in the pocket. Will be interesting to watch. He's better than Franks though.

3) Mullen is average. What has he ever won. When does he dominate?
Florida fans are used to RUTS. Right?

4). Did a DT have a sack a TFL....anything? Not much quality depth there either.

5. After all of the injuries, transfers and dismissal....UF has great depth there?

We never should have hired Pruitt. We are not in a position to roll the dice on a head coach. For all the bs of who comes, money talks.

I think it's safe to say that many fans are tired of losing games by 30 plus points and losing to teams like Missouri and Vanderbilt on a regular basis. And at one time we had the lead in our series with Florida and will soon lose our lead in the series with Georgia.

I hate losing as well. But Pruitt is not the reason we now trail Fl in the all time series
