IU Bails on Series with Louisville

Indiana will buy out the 3-game contract with Louisville to cancel 2 of the 3-year series of games that were scheduled for 2024 and 2025. The Hoosiers and Cardinals will still face off Saturday in Indianapolis, but the other two games in the series will no longer take place.
2024 was scheduled to be at Louisville and 2025 was scheduled to be in Bloomington.
IU will pay UofL a $1M cancellation fee.
Louisville now has an opening on its 2024 schedule .

The B1G didn't change the number of OOC games they're going to play. There may have been conflicts with the Louisville games and the new B1G schedule but the conference didn't cut any OOC games.

I live here about an hour from Bloomington. It was cancelled so IU could schedule an easy opponent and try to get bowl eligible. Probably more FCS opponents in the future.
